For musical lovers this month in London Guys and Dolls play Picadilly, Bryan Adams plays in the massive Wembley Arena or the Ideal Home Exhibition is on at Earls Court. Also, in the months of February/March you can visit The Vitality Show at the famous Olympia and the Designer Wedding Show at Battersea Park. For the more cultured taste try the magnificent Palladium in London where the show for these months are "Follies in Concert". The Palladium is a palacial olde world building that will give culture to the uncultured. For the very cultured, "A Midsummers Night's Dream" is playing at the Roundhouse Theatre.
In a general trip around the city visit Madam Taussauds on Baker Street. This is one of the best wax museums in the world and has a wide variety of exhibitions on at present. Or how about visiting Windsor Castle, the residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth where you can spend an entire day roaming around this historic jewel. Speaking of Jewels, you absolutely have to go to the Tower of London and look at the Crown Jewels and various ancient artifacts held dear to the majesty of England. Don't forget to watch out for the Ravens. They say the day that the Ravens leave the Tower of London, England will fall.
For a wonderful night out you absoultely must visit the Royal Albert Hall Theatre and see the mesmerising show from the world-famous Cirque Troupe. This show was started in the 1980's by a group of circus peformers from Montreal. The toupe is dedicated to creating inspirational, dymanic and shocking performances. Astonishing acrobats and awe-inspiring ariel acts from the King's Fools will have you grabbing on to the edge of your chair.
For the more artful traveller an exhibition of Turner's work is currently running at the Tate Museum. This is the first time that Turners famous Rigi's Watercolor Collection have come together under the one roof. This exhibition is free to enter and runs until the end of March 2007. If you are travelling to London before July an visit to "Diana, Princess of Wales" portrait exhibition is must. Iconic portraits of the princess by acclaimed photographer Mario Testino are displayed alongside some of her favorite gowns, worn in the photos. This exhibition is being held at Kensington Palace from now up to the 1st July.
If you are more into nightlife then the clubs that are in the top five in London include; Ministry of Sound, Plan B, Fabric, Herbal and Turnmills. From warehouse to techno-trendy London's clubs have it all. Dance until you drop or just go and people-watch at these amazing clubs that run right throught the night. Stylish venues, beautiful people and great music, what more could you ask for?
A visit to London can be anything you want it to be. It is so alive and abuzz that no matter what you are looking for on your vacation, you will find it easy to find.
