2. Afroman- "Because I got high, because i got high, because i got high, la da da da da da duh." Afroman brings people together. With a never ending sense of humor and notoriety for his love of weed and promiscuous puns, he has the ability to make songs that everyone in the car not only knows, but also can sing and rap every single word to.
3. AZ- AZ was to Nas what Drake is to Lil Wayne nowadays. Despite the fact that Nas grabbed the mic with authority and took the limelight on most tracks he was on, AZ never backed down. AZ is known for his deep verses and his ill ass multi-syllable rhymes. He was there when Illmatic dropped (oh yea, he was on it, too) and has been produced by Dr. Dre as part of The Firm. AZ has got the format for greatness down pat.
4. Method Man- Masta Mef is known for his collaboration powers. He was a unifying element of the Wu Tang Clan and he dropped one of the best songs ever with Biggie. He was also the only guest appearance on Biggie's first album, Read to Die. Can't go wrong when you have the approval of The Notorious B.I.G. There is hardly a day that goes by when "T-H-O-D Man, here I am I'll be damned if it ain't some shit" goes through my head at least 3 or 4 times. Shaolin Island. Bitch.
5. Ice Cube- Ice Cube is one of the most legit rappers ever. He is the West and he will make you drink the Kool-Aid. He has been able to remain consistent throughout his whole career. Famous cuts come from his first album, his 2nd album, his 3rd album, and on and on. He was the most dominant on the mic in every single super group he has been in (NWA and Westside Connection to name a few places he's been).
Posthumous- Big L- The nastiest to ever spit on a mic. Big L smashed mics like cornbread on a regular basis. He had one of the craziest freestyles of all time, brought New York's big rap names to prominence, and still has people waiting on the edge of their seats for another posthumous album over a decade later.
