The Sonneman 3131 is all about the lines. The slight curve of the shade will play off great with Danish modern furniture and the lamp base is all about clean lines, which is great for keeping the focus on your fantastic furniture. Plus, if you're feeling daring, the lamp shade comes in a variety of colors including yellow, blue, red, black, white and silver. This lamp is 8 inches wide and stands at 33 inches in height, making it a decent sized table lamp.
4. Eclisse
The Eclisse lamp is an original 1967 design by Vico Magistretti, making it a perfect fit for late mid-century design lovers. This particular lamp is a great conversation piece and it's only $196, so you can get two for less than $400. It's smaller with a 7 inch height and 5 inch diameter, but it comes in three colors: white, orange and black.
3. Akari Square Lantern Table Lamp
The paper shade, wood trim and tripod base make this original 1951 design a great choice if you've got a bigger budget for your table lamps. Coming in at an even $300 (with free shipping at HiveModern.com,) this lamp is a perfect choice for mid-century lovers. Plus, it's designed by the same man (Isamu Noguchi) who designed the Noguchi table for the Herman Miller Company.
2. Light Source Egg Collection LS-2875
As a mid-century design enthusiast, you probably know who George Nelson is. Unfortunately, if you know who he is, you probably know that buying one of his lamps can be a bit pricey (the original Nelson Cigar Lotus Lamp goes for upwards of $375.) Fortuately, Lite Source has a similar design for an affordable $81.90, and they've got free shipping though LightingDirect.com.
My absolute favorite, the Adesso Rhythm table lamp is a gorgeous work of art and the walnut oval stacked base is ideal for mid-century design lovers. These lamps will look great in your living room, your bedroom or even your office. Plus, they're only $90 each, so you'll save plenty of money and be able to get two for less than $300. They've even got a three tiered version, if that better strikes your mid-century fancy.
