Top 5 Sexiest Women's Costumes for Halloween 2009

Once again Halloween is right around the corner and it's time to start looking for the perfect costume for any parties that you'll be attending. One thing to keep in mind though is that I'm covering the sexiest costumes for adult only parties. I would not recommend any of these outfits for parties where children may be attending.

With all the hype surrounding the multitude of vampire inspired shows on television, not to mention the movies and books, why not create something to make you the sexiest vampire in town. This is also a costume that can cost a lot less to throw together yourself rather than spending somewhere in the neighborhood of $80 or more to purchase an outfit. You can buy a pair of thigh high black fishnet stockings at several department stores or lingerie shops for around $5. If you can't find them you can always get regular black stockings. Thigh-high would certainly be sexier. Add black pumps and a black or red mini-skirt and top with a black tank top or red tank top. If you happen to have a black bustier in your collection, that would be even better. If you visit your local party supply store, you can probably pick up a cheap pair of black sexy gloves that you can find at any Party City for $10 for a funky fishnet pair and a choker would also be very sexy for around $5. You can also grab a pair of vampire teeth and any other special inexpensive accessories, such as a fake eyelashes, fake fingernails already painted in black and red. With some items from home and a few from the store, you can easily put together something that will work.

Sexy pirate outfits will always work and are one of my favorites. Quite honestly though, if you were trying to make your own outfit, it can be done, but there is only so much you can do. You can actually start with the basics of the vampire costume above as far as shoes, clothing and stockings. To that you can easily add a black belt and buy a fake sword or dagger at the party supply store and hang that through the belt. You can also tie a long black scarf around your head making sure to leave long ends hanging down the side of your face. You could even buy a red/black or white/black striped cheap fabric at your local fabric store, getting about a yard of it, just enough to cut a triangular piece to tie around your waist and a little extra to cut into about two-inch wide pieces to tie around your neck for a choker and your wrists. You could also choose to go with the lacy black gloves. However, if you'd rather purchase an outfit, I found this adorable one at Yandy.com that you may like. the only thing you'll need to add is the stockings, a hat if you want but the head scarf will do and a sword if you desire to carry one. You can get this for around $60.00. They also offer a really nice hat for around $15.00 as well as other accessories.

Another easy idea which would fall under a sports theme is to wear an extra large football jersey like a mini-dress and pair with thigh-high white stockings. They have the cutest pair at Party City for $5 with a little bow at the top. Slip on a pair of white pumps, put your hair up in pig-tails or a pony tail and off you go. Cheap and simple, but certainly sexy enough to make it through a party. In keeping with the sports theme, you can pretty much pull off the above in a baseball style uniform also by throwing on a baseball shirt and belting it or tucking it into a short white mini skirt. Purchase a whistle to hang around your neck and top it off with a baseball cap and tell everyone you're a college baseball coach (do not say Little League when dressed this way).

Last, but certainly not least, you can show your sexy support and go Green this Halloween. At Party City you can get, for the mere price of $36.99, a lovely "green" dress that comes with an "earth" purse and a pin that says "Recyclers Do It Twice" and if you pair this outfit with the white thigh highs I mentioned above and high heeled white pumps, you will be looking smoking hot while supporting cool green.
