Top 5 Skin Care Moisturizing Products for Dry Skin

Lock in Moisture and Lock Out the Sun's Harmful Rays

Wendy Dawn
Dry skin is often associated with winter, but dry skin can be just as much of a problem in summertime for those who expose their skin to sun, sand, wind, and chlorine. Environmental elements dry out essential oils that keep skin hydrated.

During the hot summer months you need a cool, clean moisturizing skin product that will hydrate your skin and help prevent sun damage without clogging your pores.

The following five products will help rehydrate dry skin and prevent further sun damage.

I'm a sucker for Garnier ® beauty products. One of my favorite moisturizing face creams, which also combats sun damage is Garnier Nutritioniste™ Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Serum. This skin care product goes on creamy, non-greasy. It contains vitamin C which works to regenerate skin cells. It also contains micro-encapsulated Lycopene that helps protect my skin. It has the trademark Garnier® clean, fruity scent, which I love. My skin feels soft and smooth, when I use Garnier Nutritioniste™ skin care. For those who need extra protection against the sun this product is available in SPF 28 and SPF 15. This product can be purchased in your local drugstore for $8 to $13. This is my favorite product for daily skin moisturizing and protection.

Fans of Olay® skin care products will like Olay's® Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SFF 30™. Typical of Olay® products this skin care moisturizer goes on light and non-greasy. It offers SPF 30, protecting delicate skin from 97% of the sun's harmful UV rays. The moisturizer contains vitamin E, aloe, and green tea extracts that work quickly to refresh dry, thirsty skin. For healthy, younger looking skin pick up Olay® Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30™, priced around $15.

Sun damage like dark spots and blotches can be prevented with Neutrogena® Healthy Defense ® SPF 45 Daily Moisturizer. This is one skin care product that seems to offer everything. The Helioplex® sun protection formula blocks both UVB burning rays and UVA skin aging rays. Your skin will feel soft and supple using Neutrogena's® daily moisturizer. This product restores a youthful glow to your skin. It goes on light and has a light, clean scent. I found this skin care product at Target for $12.39.

Obagi® Nu-Derm Clear is a little known product, but it works well to hydrate dry skin and fade sun damage. The exclusive product formula contains collagen to firm and smooth skin. Obagi® Nu-Derm will result in younger, rejuvenated skin. It has been proven effective for fading sun damage and can be used in your daily skin care routine. It is $75 at Skin Energizer, but is unmatched in its ability to both moisturize and fade sun damage.

You'll find the best skin care products lock in moisture and contain a sunscreen to prevent sun damage. For best results purchase products that can be used on a daily basis.

What Can You Use As a Skin Moisturizer?

The safest moisturizer that I recommend is pure MeritVCO virgin coocnut oil from excelcombine. It is inexpensive and all natural - the important point that needs to be understood is that anything applied to the skin is absorbed by the body and processed through the organs. Enriched with extra virgin coconut oil to leave the skin soft and
    moisturised. Naturally
The ideal lotion is one that not only softens the skin, but protects it against damage, promotes healing and gives it a more youthful, healthy appearance. Pure virgin coconut oil is the best natural ingredient for skin lotion available. It prevents destructive free radical formation and provides protection against them. It can help to keep the skin from developing liver spots, and other blemishes caused by aging and over exposure to sunlight. It helps to keep connective tissues strong and supple so that the skin doesn't sag and wrinkle. In some cases it can even restore damaged or dise

I got my last 2 products at the health food & goods outlet, and I gotta admit - it may be all natural but simply isn't keeping my skin moisturized well enough. May try one of these.
