Top 5 Stephen King Films

Derek Fleek
The following is a list of 5 Stephen King Movies that I enjoyed the most in no particular order.

1) Carrey-- This just might be his most successful adaption yet. Sissy Spacic will always be remembered for her role as Carrie and is hailed as one of the greatest horror movies ever made.

2) Misery-- A remarkable performance by Kathy Bates that earned her well deserved Oscar. Director Rob Reiner put intensity in a box with this disturbing thriller.

3) The Shinning-- Stanley Kubrick directed this psychological horror movie with such strangeness that I fell into a trance. Well directed and no one could have done that creepy "Here's Johnny" role like Jack Nicholson did.

4) The Shawshank Redemption-- This is arguably Stephen King's greatest film adaption. With a juicy leading performance by Tim Robbins, this is a film that will sink into your skin. This is director Frank Darabont's masterpiece.

5) Stand By Me-- This is a great coming of age story and my personal favorite of Stephen King's films. A honest and overwhelming film that leaves a lump in your throat. This is a minor gem of a film that really struck a cord with it's viewers.

If I left out your favorite Stephen King films, please sound off in the comments. Thank you.

I don't know if we can consider one of the best Stephen King's movies, but I liked "Secret Window". It was entertaining.
