5. "Coach" Ben Wade
If lying and being delusional create villains, "Coach" is as bad as they come. During his run on the Survivor: Tocantins season, Coach claimed to have been chased through the Amazon rain forest by cannibals clamoring to eat him. He also claimed to be the only American to know certain martial arts moves (which didn't look all that special). Coach announced himself to be a descendant of Pocahontas, said he set a world record for kayaking, and told of his side job as a symphony conductor (which appears to be true).
Is this someone you'd like to be marooned with for 39 days?
4. Richard Hatch
Appearing on Survivor's first season (in Borneo), Richard Hatch won the million but lost any remaining goodwill through legal woes dealing with tax evasion. Who can forget Richard parading his generous body nude through the camp on numerous occasions? His coldhearted gameplay led fellow castaway Sue Hawk to describe him as a snake in her famous speech before the final vote.
3. "Boston" Rob Mariano
Boston Rob of Survivor: Marquesas and All-Stars wasn't evil so much as tricky. We well remember him conniving to get fellow contestants to protect his love interest Amber, only to propose to her and marry her after she won the million on Survivor: All Stars. His unmistakable accent and cocky attitude make Boston Rob a fun addition to any Survivor season.
2. Russell Hantz
Survivor: Samoa's Russell Hantz proved himself to be a bad boy right up there with the best of them. Self-dubbed "the puppetmaster," Russell showed his control issues from the beginning by his constant need to control his tribemates, whom he described as "weak-minded." His alliances were ruthlessly abandoned when it could benefit him, and he stooped so low as to claim (falsely) to have helped out during Hurricane Katrina. Russell is a master of treachery and rudeness - perfect Survivor bad guy material.
1. Jonny "Fairplay" Dalton
Jonny Fairplay must be the #1 bad guy on any list of Survivor villains. The Survivor: Pearl Islands star made his most evil move during the traditional "loved ones" Survivor challenge. Prior to being on the show, Jonny and his friend had conspired for the friend to announce that Jonny's grandma had died. The other survivors felt so sorry for Jonny, who was acting up the grief for all it was worth, that they let him win the challenge. As Jonny and his friend enjoyed the reward celebration, they laughed about their evil deed. This feat gained Jonny the dubious honor of telling the greatest lie in Survivor history.

Post a CommentLove it! These are definitely the best of the worst. Somehow during Russell's first season I went from loathing him to rooting for him. That's how evil he is, he twisted my mind through the TV!(and he and Rob are coming back, again!) Coach, however, was just so annoying. I hope his Survivor carreer is finished. Two seasons of the Dragonslayer was enough.
I have never been able to get into this show. Not sure why!
Fun read!
