Some dogs are fearless. Some dogs are always happy. Some are mischievous, while others are simply princesses. But above all else, dogs are always there for the ones they love. These are the dogs we love to watch for reasons of all kinds.

Top Television Dogs:Sex and the City - The Diva Dog
In Sex and the City, Charlotte's dog, Elizabeth Taylor Goldenblatt (née Princess Dandyridge Brandywine), steals the show. She acts like one of the girls just enjoying the big city. Charlotte adopted the King Charles Spaniel from a woman who is disappointed that Elizabeth Taylor cannot perform well at dog shows. Charlotte can relate at the time because she is going through difficulties in getting pregnant. Elizabeth Taylor has her own moments to shine as well. One episode spotlights when she is in heat and had her own sex in the city with several dogs in the park. Elizabeth Taylor, like a true diva, does as she pleases while enjoying life in the city.

Top Television Dogs: Charlie Brown - The Cartoon Dog
In Charlie Brown, Snoopy is the dog that is always up to something. He has ideas that are out of this world and always seems to get in to trouble. Snoopy seems to be the type of dog that any kid would want, but parents would dread. He is always on some sort of outrageous adventure. But above all else, he is Charlie Brown's best friend, and sometimes only friend.

Top Television Dogs: 7th Heaven -The Family Dog
Happy is the center of a wholesome family in 7th Heaven. The father of the household is a reverend, but Happy's real master is one of the middle children, Simon. Simon has a special bond with Happy. However, Happy plays dress up with the girls and learns how to play dead with the boys. Happy loves to be around the family and comforts everyone in the house when they need it most. He is the ultimate family dog.

Top Television Dogs: Lassie - The Protector
Lassie is the definition of the protector in the TV series Lassie, which aired from 1954-1973. Lassie, a Collie dog, settled with a family in a farming community. Lassie was certainly a protector. He would alert his masters when someone was in trouble by barking insistently. In response to Lassie's barking, a common known phrase came to be: "Timmy's in the well!" Lassie was so well known as a protective dog that he was offered a spot on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Top Television Dogs: Frazier - The Smart Dog
The Jack Russell Terrier that plays Eddie on this lovable sitcom was a very intelligent character. Eddie would turn left or right on command by his owner Martin, Frasier's dad. He would often seem to carry on human-like attributes, especially constantly taunting Frasier. Eddie's intelligence has allowed him to learn tricks quickly. He responds promptly to his name. These features have allowed Eddie to become the most loved dog of the 90s.
