BettySoo Fun Fact 1. BettySoo earned her degree in English from University of Texas - Austin and originally set out to be a teacher. But, soon she found another calling, that of professional singer-songwriter. Instead of teaching students English and Language Arts, BettySoo is turning a whole new generation on to folk rock music.
BettySoo Fun Fact 2. BettySoo's debut album Let Me Love You (2005) met with critical and audience acclaim, setting her life on a new course and career. Her latest album, a departure from the rest, is showing her maturity as a singer-songwriter and folk artist.
BettySoo Fun Fact 3. BettySoo's folk rock repetoire is intimate and ever-changing, invoking the likes of Patti Griffin, Alison Krauss and, even, the legendary Emmy Lou Harris. Indeed, BettySoo's music and lyrics show depth and originality way beyond her years.
BettySoo Fun Fact 4. BettySoo plans to take her music and art to this year's Acoustic Alaska's Music Camp in Wasilla, Alaska. Other plans include opening for folk artists Peter Case, Eric Schwartz, Robinella and Sisters Morales in various folk rock venues and festivals through the end of the year.
BettySoo Fun Fact 5. BettySoo's edgy and original Heat Sin Water Skin (2009) is now featured on Waterloo Records and iTunes.
