One of the most common toys that a parent will recommend is a bouncer seat. These are often small seats that bounce and vibrate to help soothe your fussy baby. Most of them need to be pushed in order to bounce, but will vibrate by flipping a switch. They come in all different sizes and styles. Many of these bouncers will come with a detachable toy bar to help keep your baby stimulated while she is not being held. These can come in very handy while traveling because they are often light and compact so you can bring them as a seat for you baby no matter where you are.
Another great toy your child will enjoy is a swing. Most swings today are electrically operated and will swing on their own. You can get a swing that has multiple speed settings so you can make your baby swing as fast or as slow as you want. Many of these swings have a toy bar that can be placed over your babies head in order to keep her occupied in the swing. They may even come with a musical device that you can turn on and off that will play lullabies. This is a great way to rock your baby to sleep without having to hold her. It can also keep her calm while she is awake because of the constant motion.
A great accessory to any child's collection of toys is a mobile or crib side toy. These are great ways to help your baby sleep at night. A mobile often has soft toys that dangle above the babies head in a circle, causing her to stare at them until she eventually falls asleep. If you do not like the thought of something hanging over your child while she sleeps, you may want to invest in a crib side toy. These toys often attach to any crib, and play sounds, light up, and have toys inside of them that move. These calming noises and sounds can help your child fall asleep faster.
One thing that almost every child enjoys is a play mat. These mats are often soft and can be set up anywhere on the ground. They usually have toys hanging over your babies head that she can stare at or play with. They sometimes have a musical toy that will play a short melody to entertain your baby. They can help your child's development and motor skills as she grows. They can often be used as a mat for tummy time, which is a vital part of your child's development. Placing your child on her stomach can help encourage her to strengthen her arm muscles which she will need to roll over and eventually crawl.
The last toy that you should invest in is a play gym. These are often circular tables with many toys attached. Your child is secured in a swivel seat in the middle of the toys and can move herself around to play with all of the different toys offered. This can help her strengthen her legs. It can also keep her occupied for long periods of time because when she becomes bored with one toy she can just move on to the next.
All of these toys, and more, are great investments for your little one. They all provide your child with stimulating activities while providing you some much needed time to get what you need to get done accomplished. While every child is different, there is bound to be one toy that your child takes to more then another. If this is the case, allow your child to play with that toy whenever she wants.
