Halloween seems to be an ever-expanding holiday. Television stations are catching on and running with the scary programming trend, much to the delight of fans of this kind of viewing.

Here's a guide to some of the best programming you'll find for this genre:

1. Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will be running their scary movie marathon beginning at 4:30 am on Friday, October 30, and running into the wee hours of Sunday, November 1. Fans of horror can have the daylights scared right out of them for two straight days! Here is just a sampling of some of the all-time, first-rate horror flicks which will be shown on TCM.

Friday, October 30:

"The Walking Dead" starring Boris Karloff at 11:15 am.
"Psycho", the Alfred Hitchcock classic starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh at midnight.

Saturday, October 31:

"The Haunting" with Julie Harris and Claire Bloom at 10 am.
"The Cat People"- scary, old-time classic at 5pm.
"Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"- unforgettable film with Spencer Tracy, Ingrid Bergman and Lana Turner (what a cast!) at 8 pm.

2. The Sci-Fi channel will be doing what it does best! It will be offering 31 days of Halloween programming. Highlights include "The Ghost Hunters" and "Tales from the Darkside"

3. The WE channel (Women's Entertainment Network) will be running a four-hour marathon of ghost stories. Sounds like a must-see!

4. AMC will be offering scary fare again this year. On Halloween, catch "House of Dracula" starring Christopher Lee at 7:30 am. "Halloween" airs at 9:30 am. and "Return to the House on Haunted Hill" at midnight.

5. The Cartoon Channel is offering a "Goosebumps" marathon this year for all the kids who are into watching the scary stuff.
