Top 5 Uses for Vodka Bottles

C.B. Jones
Vodka is the Edward Norton of alcoholic beverages. It's extremely diverse. You can drink it straight up, or mix it with other liquids to create a whole other drink. When the Vodka bottle is empty, you don't necessarily need to dispose of it right away.

1.) Change Bank.
If you should one day experiment with the idea of yielding the consumption of vodka(or any other alcoholic beverage for that matter), It might be a good idea to save a few bottles. See how quickly you can fill these empty bottles with spare change that would usually go towards feeding your addiction.

2.) Lava Lamp.
Just fill a bottle with vegetable oil(about half of the way), and fill the rest of it with water. Break some Alka-Seltzer tablets into small chunks, and drop them in the bottle. Tip the bottle in different directions to manipulate the blob.

3.) Dumbbells.
Fill your plastic vodka bottles with sand and water to increase their weight. This is a nice little cheap alternative to buying more expensive equipment, with the main disadvantage of not being able to adjust or add extra weight to your DIY dumbbells.

4.) Vase.
In order to make this look somewhat classy and less like a cry for help, you should spray paint the bottle beforehand. Drop a few flowers in the thing and it'll be great.

5.) Letter in a bottle.
This could be like some kind of :note to thy drunken self" situation, or a unique way to get your point across. Bottles are useful as mail transportation because they keep your letters from getting wet when in damp areas. Unlike bricks, bottles are less threatening.

It doesn't matter if you're a hoarder who likes to have a drink every once and...every three hours or so, or somebody who gets bored easily when there isn't enough alcohol in their system. These suggestions should be useful to all. It should be noted that like the Vodka it's self, not all bottles are made equal.

Some of these projects I've listed in this article work best when used with glass bottles, while others are strictly for plastic bottles. For example: Homemade dumbbells are best when made of plastic, due to the wear and tear that's bound to be placed upon them over time. When dropped from even a short distance, glass has this nasty habit of cracking and even shattering. Use caution and a little bit of common sense to prevent injuries.
