Planning a getaway to Las Vegas for Valentine's Day? Whether you are a visitor or a local, here are my recommendations for the Top 5 Valentine's Day Packages in Las Vegas:

Top Valentine's Day Packages in Las Vegas #1: Red Rock Resort

The Red Rock Resort in Summerlin offers two packages for Valentine's Day:

• The XOXO Package: For $199 on Valentine's Day, the hotel will arrange transportation to and from the airport or a local home. Enjoy some champagne and a rose on your way to the hotel, where you can expect VIP check-in and a one night stay at a Resort Suite. The hotel room includes rose petal turndown service, chocolate covered strawberries, and a bottle of Vueve Champagne. Couples wanting to stay an extra night can do so for an extra $50.

• The Sweetheart Package: For $599 on Valentine's Day, couples can enjoy everything offered in the XOXO package with the addition of a 50-minute couples massage and one Tiffany's Gift. The room is also upgraded to a Signature Suite, and couples wanting to stay an extra night can do so for an extra $100.

Top Valentine's Day Packages in Las Vegas #2: Alliante Casino & Hotel

Red Rock's sister property, the Alliante Station Casino & Hotel on the north end of town, offers a Valentine's Day package starting at $324 per night. The package includes a one-night stay, a dozen roses, bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a $50 dining credit to the MRKT Sea & Land restaurant located inside the hotel. Couples wishing to stay longer will receive 30% off a second night's stay.

Top Valentine's Day Packages in Las Vegas #3: Trump International Hotel

For couples wishing to stay on the Strip, one of the least expensive hotel packages I found was the Enchanted Evening Valentine's Package at the Trump Hotel International Hotel. Starting at $249 a night for a studio suite, couples can enjoy a bottle of premium champagne (champagne flutes included), gourmet chocolates, and two Trump bathrobes with the option of personalization. This package boasts a savings of $350 and can be booked until the end of February.

To add a little pampering to this getaway, couples can add a day of pampering at the Spa at Trump. Visit their website to view their February spa packages.

Top Valentine's Day Packages in Las Vegas #4: Stratosphere Hotel

Home to the famous and uber-romantic Top of the World restaurant, the Stratosphere Hotel offers three different packages for Valentine's Day weekend:

• For the ultimate three-day Valentine's Day weekend extravaganza, take advantage of the Stratosphere's Valentine's Day 3-Night Package from February 12 -15. For $629, the package includes a three-night stay, admission to the Level 107 Lounge Valentine event on February 12, brunch at the Top of the World restaurant on February 13, and special dinner on Level 104 on February 14. Guests will also receive $25 off an in-room massage and a keepsake gift from the hotel.

• Guests who choose to take advantage of the $445 Valentine's Day 2-Night Package from February 13-15 will receive a two-night stay at the hotel that includes the special dinner seating at Level 104 in the Stratosphere tower on February 14. They will also receive $25 off an in-room massage and a keepsake gift.

• Guests staying February 14-16 can also avail of the Valentine's Day 2-Night package listed above, but will only be charged $349. The same dinner and spa arrangements apply.

Top Valentine's Day Packages in Las Vegas #5: Paris Hotel & Casino

It should be no surprise that the hotel representing the most romantic city in the world offers several couple's packages for Valentine's Day as well as year-round. Here are the two of their popular packages for Valentine's Day:

• For only $60, couples can purchase a Valentine's Day package to the romantic Eiffel Tower Experience. Ticket price includes tickets for two, two glasses or wine, and a souvenir photo. For details call the Eiffel Tower Box Office from 9:30 am to 12:30 am every day or call 1-888-727-4758.

• Couples who want the ultimate experience can purchase the hotel's Lover's Delight Package, starting at around $235 a night. A minimum two-night stay is required, but the package includes a $75 food credit at Le Provencal restaurant, tickets to the Eiffel Tower Experience, rose petal turndown service, champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, continental breakfast in bed, and complimentary passes to the Mandara Spa.

Hmm, well, thank your buddies for thinking for themselves instead of listening to the prez. :-) We appreciate their support.

Will forward again to my two buddies, if you ever run into Mike Rocha or Scott Keyes, they practically live out there! And if everybody "won" as often as both of them claim to win, Vegas would be bankrupt. !!!!
