Top 5 Valentine's Surprises for Him

Mike C.
Often times people tell me that Valentine's Day is for women. "It's all about romantic gestures for your wife" or girlfriend, etc. I think Valentine's Day is for both men and women! We women can do sweet things for our men to show them we love and care about them as well! Here are five ways we can surprise him for Valentine's Day.

Cook his favorite meal for Valentine's Day. A lot of couples go out to dinner on Valentine's Day. This time, stay at home and prepare him his favorite foods. If he likes steak and roasted potatoes, then make the best steak and potatoes he's ever tasted. If he likes your signature lasagna, then you definitely want to make him that. Sweeten the dinner with a heavenly dessert and wine. What I like about this is that the dinner can be either romantic or just for friends.

Give him 2 tickets to his favorite team event. If he's into sports, a local team in particular, consider buying him 2 tickets to the event. Let's say he likes Hockey, the New York Rangers and the NY Rangers are playing at home on Valentine's Day. He would be overjoyed that you bought him tickets to the game, plus there's the extra ticket for yourself of course. If you don't know what or who he's into, ask his friends or family. Then check online game schedules. The tickets also don't have to be used on Valentine's Day. Any date will still leave him excited and happy, especially that you thought of him.

Pick out an item for his hobby or collection. Everyone has a hobby or collects things. If he is into guns, buy him a new gun case he has been talking about, or if he is into George Carlin for example, buy him the George Carlin DVD he is missing in his collection. He will be thrilled that you pay attention to his likes and interests.

Frame a picture of the two of you and give it to him. A framed picture is a great yet simple Valentine's Day surprise. He is a special friend and you want him to have that picture of the two of you on the beach together in Florida or the goofy photo of the two of you together at a party. What better way to do that than framing that picture so he can put it on his office desk or table so he can think of you and your good times together often. When he's feeling stressed at work or lonely some nights, he can look at the cool picture of you two and smile.

Text him something sweet. Calling on the phone is so 1990s. Texting is the new way of communicating! Surprise him on Valentine's Day with a sweet text. It can be as simple as saying "Hey Handsome, Happy Valentine's Day", or "Hey Babe, thinking about you today, so glad you're in my life". The simple greeting is fun and flirty with using words like cutie, baby, and handsome. This is sure to make him smile, blush, and brighten his Valentine's Day thinking of you. Also, with a text, he can save it for later when he needs a pick me up.

Happy Valentine's Day.
