Top 5 Ways to Find Restaurant Coupons

There are so many ways to find restaurant coupons that you may be unsure of where to start. Here are five ways to find the best restaurant coupons:

5. Do An Online Search: This is the easiest way to find restaurant coupons, but probably will yield the least results. Before going out to your favorite establishment, complete a specific internet search for the coupon. For example, I knew that I would be visiting T.G.I. Friday's, so I typed in "Friday's Coupon" before going out to dinner that evening. I turned up a legitimate free appetizer coupon that I could use that night. Again, this will not yield many restaurant coupons, but it is worth a shot before going out.

4. Buy an Entertainment Book: Entertainment Books (we also have Enjoy Books in my city) can be purchased online or through local charitable organizations. For your donation of $20-$25, you receive a large book of restaurant coupons as well as a dining card that you can use at local establishments. You can look online before you purchase to make sure that the restaurant coupons that you are looking for are located here.

3. Look Through Your Junk Mail: Most of the time we don't even look through our junk mail, but if you take a couple of extra minutes to look through the local advertising circulars and Valpak coupon mailings, you can find great restaurant coupons, as well as coupons for items ranging from oil changes to haircuts.

2. Look in Your Local Newspaper: Your Sunday newspaper will periodically contain restaurant coupons for national chains such as Red Lobster and the Olive Garden while your daily newspaper will often contain restaurant coupons for local establishments (our local newspaper carries the local coupons on Thursdays, our day for the weekend outlook). Along with the local restaurant coupons, the local newspaper will also list ads with specials for the establishments that you are interested in.

1. Sign up for Frequent (or Loyal) Diner Programs: This is probably your best way to get coupons for your favorite eatery. You will have to provide your personal information (i.e. address, date of birth), but in return you'll get restaurant coupons emailed or sent to your home. They'll often even send you a coupon for a free entrée on your birthday. You can sign-up for these programs online at the restaurant's website or in the establishment itself.
