5. Bomberman Blast. Ok this one is on WiiWare which is available for download within the Wiishop and it is addicting. It's a fun game by itself but is really good when you are playing against your friends. I definitely recommend getting this game.
4. Call of duty: World at War: First person shooters hold a special place for me as they are the games that I dream about playing. WAW is a very nice polished game that is cool to use the blaster with. As in you aim with the controller pointing at the screen. It lags a little but plays easily enough. This game would have ranked higher but it only has 8 person at a time online play. It is a very good game with lots of stuff to look at and blow up. But I would wait till the price drops below $30
3. Super Smash Brothers Melee: This is the next in the series of the game that started the online genre for Nintendo. It was a huge hit for the Gamecube and online tournaments and professional players earned livings playing this game. This version does not let you down. More players, more moves, better graphics and good online fun. If you need your midnight gamers fix there are more people playing this online than any other Wii game so you can always get some action in. A definite buy at any price.
2. Medal of Honor: Heroes 2: This game is not as polished as Call of Duty World at War, but the game play feel is better and smoother. It is more of a gamers game. It jumps the ranks to #2 for me because it has 32 player online multiplayer. That is a huge battle for serious gamer addicts. They kept is simple and fun with lots of action. Controls are easy to master even for a new gamer. This one is a definite buy especially since the game has been out for awhile and the price has dropped.
1. Mario Kart Wii: Get it. Super fun and addicting game. Best part is I can play this game with my 4 year old nephew who lives in another state. And yes he is way better at the game than me. Too much fun. Lots of characters, cars, motorcycles and tracks to choose from. The kicker is with Mario Kart for the Wii 2 players on one console can both play online against 10 other players anywhere in the world. And there is no lag. That is a cool accomplishment. This is a winner in my book. Mario Kart is a must buy immediately when you get a Wii.
Everyone says that the downfall to the Wii is the multiplayer but to me 5 good games will bring me back to the Wii every time. I have only 1 game on the playstation that I like multiplayer and that is Killzone 2, but I hate the controls for it. So I play the Wii more. Thanks for reading!
