Top 6 Best Electronic Christmas Gifts to Give a Woman for Christmas

Rochelle Connery
When guys don't know what to get a woman for Christmas, they often tend to pick "mutual" gifts. In other words, they buy their female loved one a drill, or a tool kit, or a game console, something they would like to receive as much or even more so than she does. The result? A rather jilted wife or girlfriend and a slightly happier, yet rather guilty, husband or boyfriend. So guys, this Christmas, take it from a female: if you must get her an electronic gift, think about one of the following options.

One: iPod Touch, iPod Nano, or Zune HD

Yes, we females love music and movies just as much as you do. The trick to buying one of these and getting away with it is to buy it in a very feminine color, like pink or purple. If the actual electronic only comes in black, buy a case that's feminine-colored, and she'll know you're not planning on using it 80% of the time. Plus, these players are some of the easiest to use.

Two: Noise Machine

Whether you snore loudly on a continual basis, like to watch late-night movies, or play your noisy video games into the wee hours of the morning as I have a tendency to do, your wife might appreciate a noise machine to keep out the clamor and get to sleep. Depending on her preferences, you can either buy a simple white noise machine, a machine with several nature sounds, like ocean waves, and even a dual noise machine with alarm clock.

Three: Garmin or TomTom GPS

Just because women are generally less obstinate about asking for directions doesn't mean they want to stop at some shady gas station 100 miles south of the Oklahoma border on the way to a relative's house to get them. Buy her a Garmin or a TomTom Global Positioning System, and you're sure to make her day. However, if she's very opposed to learning new electronics, you need to be prepared to help her learn how to use it, or pick a different gift altogether.

Four: Easy-to-Use Fashion Camera

Note the term "easy-to-use." A camera could potentially be misconstrued as a mutual gift if you're not careful. However, by purchasing a simple, point-and-shoot camera in a fashionable color, such as any metallic shade or a pink or light green, you'll score lots of points on Christmas morning. One such camera is the Samsung S860 8.1MP digital camera that can be found on Amazon for less than $100, making it an inexpensive investment and a great Christmas gift for a woman.

Five: Hobby Electronic

I'm talking about her hobbies, guys, not yours. Does she like to cook? You might look into fancy cooking equipment, like a set of nice beaters, a bread machine, an espresso machine, or a food processor. Things like juicers and 5-qt. mixers are also great options for the chef in your life. Do a little research into her favorite hobbies and see if there's an electronic that fits well into your budget and her cabinets.

Six: Amazon Kindle or Kindle DX

Amazon just came out with a better, revolutionized Kindle reader that has a bigger reading screen, background music capabilities, and more. This is a great option if she loves to read books and magazines. Even better, purchase a Kindle subscription to a magazine or buy a couple of her favorite genre book downloads, and you'll make her Christmas day for sure.

Great ideas. I pity the man who gives me a drill for Christmas.

Rochelle, great gift suggestions! I would love any of them. They are electronics, yet, they are personal gifts for women to use daily; the best of all for men's shopping.
