Top 6 Electronic Gifts for Men This Christmas

Rochelle Connery
It's sometimes easier to please the men around Christmastime than it is the women and kids - give them an electronic, and they're happy, usually. However, you want to give them an electronic that's a little bit worthwhile and a lot of fun, not simply the completely useful kind. Here's some of the most fun electronic gifts for men for Christmas that are sure to be a hit.

One: Amazon Kindle or Kindle DX

An electronic reading device is a great gift to give this Christmas. College-aged guys can use it to keep notes for school, businessmen can read all their newspaper subscriptions without buying a real paper, and guys who go for long commutes or on business trips can read more conveniently than having to buy a book. Plus, the Kindle plays music in the background, so you can listen to music and read at the same time.

Two: Game Console

Between the slashed prices of the Nintendo Wii and the awesome features of the Playstation 3, you can't go wrong when you give a guy a game console. Make sure that whichever console you pick accommodates the video games he likes, as not every game comes in the proper compatibility for each console.

Three: iPod Touch3rd Generation 32 GB

With a faster processor and more voice capabilities, the new Apple iPod Touch is the perfect gift for any guy at Christmas, no matter what age. Okay, so maybe you can't get it for your grandpa, but this is the perfect pick for someone who wants huge capacity for music, movies, wireless internet, apps, and games.

Four: iPod Nano 5th Generation

If you want to stay under the $200 mark, go for the iPod Nano 5th Generation. It's not much different than the previous generations, but it's much smaller and more compact than the iTouch, so it might be a better option for someone who just wants to play music and watch a couple videos.

Five: Zune HD 32 GB

If your guy is not a big Apple fan, get him a Zune HD instead. It's almost a replica of the iPod Touch, except for the fact it doesn't have an external speaker, which I think is a pretty nice feature. It works better on a PC than an iPod Touch as well, so keep this in mind when making your choice between music players.

Six: Garmin or TomTom GPS

We all know how men hate to ask for directions, let alone follow them. Make a directionally-challenged or road-trip-loving man feel better about taking directions when you get him a GPS for Christmas. Make sure you get the most updated version that will accommodate the most recent maps.
