Top 6 Fun Electronic Gifts for Your Kids This Christmas

Rochelle Connery
It's hard to know exactly what your kids want each year for Christmas. So they gave you a list? Well, forget that. I'll tell you what they really want. It's somewhere in this list of top electronic gifts kids want for Christmas.

One: Apple iPod Touch 32 GB

The third generation Apple iPod Touch is more powerful than ever, and with a faster processor, your kids can have twice the fun the old iTouch was capable of producing. Don't worry about buying them too many apps or games yet; the Apple store has plenty of free ones to choose from. And now that the iPod Touch comes with a microphone attached to the ear buds, it's fully equipped for every bit of fun your kids could possibly desire.

Two: iPod Nano 5th Generation

If you're not into giving your kids a full-blown iPod Touch with wireless internet and complete gaming, consider giving them a Nano instead. They can still play games, watch movies (albeit on a rather small screen), and obviously listen to virtually unlimited music. This is a great option for younger teens who are maybe not responsible enough to handle a bigger electronic iTouch device.

Three: PSP Go

If you don't want to invest in the entire Playstation 3 or a GameCube console, the PSP Go is a great handheld option. It has the same abilities as an iPod Touch, but with more games, obviously. It's bigger and bulkier, but it will definitely keep them occupied just the same.

Four: Nintendo Wii

Since Nintendo slashed the prices on the Nintendo Wii this year, there's never been a better time to buy one. You will probably have to order one soon, though, as they will probably go out of stock like they did a couple years ago.

Five: Playstation 3 Console

Even the parents can have fun with a Playstation 3 console when you buy one for the kids. With Blu-Ray disc capability, wireless internet access, and razor-sharp images, the PS3 is one of the best options as far as game consoles go. Most new games are PS3 compatible anymore, so you should be able to find something the kids like to go with it.

Six: Math Shark

Okay, so this option doesn't really belong in the lineup as these other "fun" gadgets, but it's more fun than you think. Math Shark is a handheld game that will help sharpen your kids' math skills through games that teach them basic equations and pre-algebraic functions. It's fun as well as educational, so you satisfy both aspects of a cool Christmas electronic.
