1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: the Lightning Thief

This first movie is the first installment of the Percy Jackson and the Olympian Series by Rick Riordan. Young Percy Jackson discovers he's a half-blood and his father is Poseidon, God of the Seas. A terrible war is about to break Olympus when Zeus's master bolt is stolen and Percy is the main suspect. He must journey on a quest with his friend Grover, a satyr, and Annabeth, another half-blood in order to find out who stole the lightning bolt and return it. A number of big names appear in this film including Logan Lerman as Percy, Sean Bean as Zeus. Cast also includes Uma Therman, Rosario Dawson, and Pierce Brosnan.

2. Alice in Wonderland

This remake of the wonderful children's classic based on the book by Lewis Carroll adds a whole new twist to things. Alice's favorite adventures into the strange world of Wonderland unfold as she meets many strange characters such as The Mad Hatter, played by Johnny Depp, and The Caterpillar voiced by Alan Rickman. The ensemble cast includes Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Christopher Lee, and Mia Wasikowska playing Alice.

3. Shrek Forever After

Everyone loves Shrek and he and his wife Prince Fiona are back in this fourth installment of the Dreamworks films. In this film Shrek is tricked into making a deal with Rumpelstiltskin and Shrek finds himself in a world that is much like Far Far Away, only he has never met Fiona and ogres are hunted. In order to undo the magic, Shrek must face the world in order to save his friends and reclaim Fiona as his true Love. Cast includes Mike Meyers as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as Fiona, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, and Antonio Bandera as Puss in Boots.

4. Toy Story 3

More than 10 years after Toy Story 2, Woody and Buzz are back with their gang of friends. Follow them as they go on their adventure once their owner Andy leaves for college and they're dumped in a day-care toy box. The movie hit theatres in June and includes all the favorite cast members, including Tom Hanks as Woods and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear.

5. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part I

In this first installment of the widely popular Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, comes the first of the two part film for the 7^th Harry Potter novel. Setting out plans to find the rest of Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes and destroy them in order to make Voldemort mortal once more, Harry is sent on a quest to find out just where they could be hidden and what they might be. Teamed up with his best friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, they learn more things about Lord Voldemort and their fallen hero Albus Dumbledore more than they ever could have imagined. Cast includes Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.

6. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

This anticipated film in the children's series by C.S. Lewis is the fifth book in the installment, but the third film in the series. Here we find Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia where they meet up with now King Caspian and voyage across the sea in company of the ship The Dawn Treader. Here they encounter the many mysteries of Narnia including dragons, merfolk, and dwarves before reaching the edge of the world. Cast includes Ben Barnes as Kind Caspian, Skandar Keynes as Edmund, and Georgie Henley as Lucy.
