Top 7 Awesome Websites for Educational Kid's Games and Activities

Make Learning Fun!

My kids, like most others, love to play video games and think they are so big when they get to play on the computer. I am always looking for new websites that are kid-friendly and free to help them find new ways to play and learn at the same time.

The internet is a valuable resource when it comes to finding the right things for your particular child. For example, my oldest child has some speech problems but has really improved throughout the last two years. My youngest child is doing well but still has problems identifying between a square and a rectangle. There are literally tons of websites that offer different games and activities. These are my favorites and they literally have something for everyone!

The Funbrain Arcade website is a cute place that combines games with a board game like quality. It is for kids of all ages and can teach hand eye coordination, counting, etc.

E-learning for Kids is a wonderful non profit website that interacts with the kids and is for kids of all ages as well. It is one of my new favorites and I recommend it highly.

For preschool age children, I would recommend going to Fun School. They have everything from learning ABC's, shapes, counting, animals, and coloring.

Kids Front offers a wide variety of activities for children. Everything from dinosaurs, math, English, matching, science, and even stories.

Learning Games for Kids offers geography games, health, science, math, word, and science games.

I think learning should be made to be as fun as possible. It's important for the kids to want to learn and have fun doing it, makes it that much more successful. My children learn best through one on one and by doing different activities.

Creative Kids at Home is a website run by a daycare operator that has compiled a huge list of activities based on themes, holidays, and different ages.

Fun Attic offers ideas for activities that can be done outside or at different events. They even list classroom activities, youth group, and summer fun ideas.

These websites offer a huge amount of ideas for fun for all ages. Get the entire family involved and maybe even a few friends! Most of these activities can be done with things you already have around the house or with things that aren't very expensive. You can modify them to fit your needs. Make sure you let the little ones help pick what to do when it comes to choosing the activities. Be sure to have a camera near by too! Hopefully you have as much fun as my family does when it comes to doing family fun activities!
