Top 7 Funny Things Babies Do

You Thought You Heard Everything!

Kelly Fleming
When you have children there are a few things you should look out for. I have put together a top 7 list of common occurrences. This will help you to prepare and plan ahead of time.

1. Never leave the diaper changing stuff in the bathroom. Most parents are not morning people, when you wake up in the morning you are not fully alert. Accidently grabbing the Desitin or A & D ointment instead of toothpaste will leave an ungrateful taste in your mouth for the whole day.

2. Put the formula away from everything else. We have our coffee pot and the Baby's food products right in the same area. At least 2 times my Husband has grabbed the powered formula instead of the cream. One time he did not even realize it until he was done with his coffee. The baby formula has milk products in it so it was not that much of a difference until he realized what he did.

3. Do not think you are safe changing a boy. Some of them are capable of shooting up to 10 feet. Make sure Grandma is at a safe distance and you are fully protected.

4. Baby teeth are extremely sharp like a puppy. Under no circumstances ever stick fingers in the baby's mouth (unless they are choking-only in emergencies). I received 2 stitches trying to get the dirt out of my son's mouth after he decided to try eating it.

5. Be careful of whom you change diapers around. Some people cannot stomach a dirty diaper. My Father is one of those it may be funny, but not for him. I have actually had 2 people throw up when I changed my son. Be prepared it seems like what went the baby is definitely different coming out.

6. Never ever, play with a baby after he eats. No matter how many times people have been told they still do this. It is very gross when everything the child ate comes right back to you

7. Make sure your teeth are covered by your lips when you are holding your baby face-to-face. Infants are kind of wobbly and have really hard heads. Most people like to keep their front teeth or at least keep them in tact and not lose.

In the years ahead I will look back at these different things that have happened to me with the baby, and I will laugh. Right now I am not laughing that much my finger still hurts and I have a funny taste in my mouth.
