Top 8 Christmas Myspace Layout Sites

Just as many people enjoy decking out their home or office for Christmas, so does the trend extend to MySpace (as well as Xanga, LiveJournal, Facebook, etc.) While there are literally thousands of themes and graphics available, certain sites that advertise them are highly unreliable. Some have even been found to contain viruses or spyware. Happy holidays, right?

So, you might wonder...where can I find a MySpace theme without all the hassle? There are plenty of legitimate sites out there; you just need to do a bit of research. Here are eight great suggestions for your virtual holiday decorations (in no particular order).

1. WonderChristmas.com - This site contains not only Christmas themes, but also cursors, backgrounds, games, and contact tables (the little box that says "Message Me," "Add Me," etc.) Its advantage is definitely selection...as opposed to your general graphics sites, this page is all about The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. On top of that, the layouts that they offer are well made and attractive.

Disadvantages: The site does have quite a few ads; however, they're not very intrusive. You can browse without cutting through numerous pop-up ads.

2. ChristmasProfile.com - OK, do you like your Christmas cutesy? This just may be the site for you! It has many colorful themes, with all the Christmas essentials: Santa, candy canes, evergreen trees, reindeer, etc. While it doesn't have a huge selection, there isn't nearly as much to sort through, and the options that they do have are beautiful and attention-grabbing.

Disadvantages: There are fewer options than found on some of the larger sites, and this one may appeal more to girls than to guys.

3. Zwani.com: Christmas Graphics- Zwani offers a plethora of Christmas graphics. Most take the form of comment graphics, featuring all your favorite holiday sayings: "Merry Christmas," "Happy Holidays," "Seasons Greetings," etc. Their major advantage, however, is that's what's available is gorgeous (and in some cases, especially for the guys, even sexy.) And of course, because this isn't a Christmas site exclusively, they feature just about all the other major American holidays as well.

Disadvantages: The site doesn't offer MySpace themes, just comments and icons. You can, of course, create your own customized theme using the various graphics.

4. YuleLoveIt.com- Here you'll find a smaller selection of MySpace themes, comments, greetings, and "Thank You" images. Also included are Christmas MIDI files, such as "Carol of the Bells," "Frosty the Snowman," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," and "Hallelujah Chorus." There's even a "Christmas Countdown" which you can easily post on your MySpace page and/or blog.

Disadvantages: While simple and easy to navigate, this site doesn't have the largest selection of graphics. Still worth a look, however!

5. Pyzam.com- For those with a "sexier" sense of humor (and style), Pyzam offers both the naughty and the nice. Ladies: look for the comment that says "Sending you sum Christmas eye candy!" and you'll know exactly what that means. Guys: don't sweat it, there are plenty of seductive female elves for you, too! Also of note are several hilarious graphics featuring Ralphie, of A Christmas Story fame.

Disadvantages: Parents of younger children might want to steer clear of this site; as for your own page, that's entirely up to you...

6. HotProfilePlus.com- Yes, they've got "cutesy" Christmas layouts, such as "Christmas Caroling," featuring a CGI snowman over a red background, and "Gizmo Santa," showcasing the famous Gremlin in a Santa hat. But in addition, HotProfilePlus has its share of sexy and seductive themes, featuring scantily-clad female elves, or even "naughty" elves dressed in a bustier and thong panties. Just what you were looking for, guys? Come on in.

Disadvantages: Like several of these sites, this one has intrusive pop-up ads, sometimes to the point of frustration. If you can get past that, however, the layouts themselves are great fun.

7. WishAFriend.com - More on the innocent side, this site offers some great layouts in red, white, green, and any other color you might associate with Christmas. They also have a 37-page selection of MySpace comments and graphics, featuring snowmen, reindeer, Santa Claus, and all your favorite Xmas characters.

Disadvantages: Once again, the ads can be a bit intrusive, particularly one that features a promo video from the David Crowder Band (unless, of course, that's your favorite group; personal taste is a major factor.) You can, of course, shut the sound off.

8. MyFabFaith.com- For those more in tune with the faith-based and Christian side of Christmas, this site offers several holiday themes with a D.O.G. (Depend on God) aesthetic, as well as a number featuring images of Jesus (not necessarily for Christmas, but year-round.) As commercial as Christmas may get, God and Christ are essentially part of the holiday, so this may be the site for you.

Disadvantages: The site doesn't have the wide selection of some of the larger, more commercial pages. However, it is free of many of the annoying pop-up and banner ads as well.
