Last years number one name Aiden fell off the charts this year to the number sixteen position. Many parents surveyed with a son named Aiden said they picked the name from the Sex and the City series. With the release of Sex and the City 2 this summer this name might make a come back in 2011.
Michael and Joshua are just two of the names that made the biggest jump of the year, going from the number eighteen and twenty spots to the number two and four most popular names of the year. Michael has always been a popular name, my husband is named Michael as is 3 husbands of family members. This name should stay in the top 10 for at least a few more years as it flip flops between popular and not so popular.
The girl's list saw some major changes this year as well with once popular name Addison dropping off the list to number sixteen and Chloe sliding down from number eight to the number ten spot.
