Top Beauty Finds for Summer 2010

Summer is the time of year when every woman likes to shed her cocoon of winter clothing and emerge a beautiful butterfly. We spend months anticipating and searching for those new beauty products that will make our summer look complete. Her are my top beauty product finds for the summer.

1. Bare lifts. It was love at first try. The hardest part of summer for me has always been trying to find the right bra for all those sexy, warm weather tops. For some women, like me, that are a D cup, the task can be daunting. Bare lifts completely solved that problem. These medical-grade adhesive pads lift your breasts from above. There are no straps, no underwires, no padding, no pain, just a perfect lift. They fit from A through D cups, and right now www.freebarelifts.com has a special running where you can get 20 of these fabulous lifts for just $10. I think that is a small price to pay to be able to wear any summer or bikini top without the sagging. Give these a try, I promise that you will not be sorry!

2. My favorite scent for this summer is Instant Vacation by Mark, a division of Avon. It is available in two versions for $18.00 each at www.avon.com. This light fragrance smells like a tropical getaway, and definitely does not remind one of tanning oil. Instant Vacation is perfect for daytime, or those hot summer nights.

3. If you are girl like me that loves to spend an occasional day at the beach, (or 15 minutes in the tanning bed) working on that perfect summer glow, Ocean Potion XTREME Intensifier with Instant Bronzer is the product for you. It works equally well in the sun, or in the tanning bed. It has zero grease or oil, and carries the delicious clean scent of oranges. It retails for under $10.00 at www.drugstore.com, but be cautious, this product contains no sunscreen.

4. With the humidity of summer, it is pretty impossible to keep waves or curls ironed out. Instead of fighting nature, I chose a natural look. Aussie sprunch spray has been a longtime summer beauty favorite of mine. Just spray it on your damp locks and scrunch it with your fingers until it is dry. For under $5 at most drug stores, Aussie Sprunch Spray will save you hours of needless hair drama.

In the summer months, we tend to wear less makeup than usual, but there are a few must-have beauty products for your beach bag.

5. Great Lash Mascara Big Waterproof is he only eye enhancement that you will need on the beach. It is just $8.00 at www.drugstore.com. Even though this is the most smudge-proof waterproof mascara that I have found, only apply it to your upper lashes to keep your eyes looking wide open.

6. A great bronzer is something that I just cannot do without. I am stuck on Milani Powder Bronzer in #00 Radiant. It costs less than $7 at www.cvs.com, and is the perfect shade to enhance the skin tone of most anyone.

7. Keeping your lips moisturized is one of the greatest battles of summer. Nobody wants cherry colored gloss snaking across their faces, or worse, a dry, cracked, peeling pucker, right? Sally Hansen Line Smoothing Mineral Lip Treatment in Pink Sapphire (www.drugstore.com $9.00) is the answer. This nude moisturizer contains just the barest hint of shimmer, and looks great at the beach or under the black light.

I have one major beauty tip for summer: Keep it light and simple. It is hot out there, and there is nothing more unattractive than rivulets of makeup sliding down your face. Find an easy-care summer look and stick with it. Save the glam look for air-conditioned nights.
