Whether a flea market vendor wants to avoid the possibility of weather-related problems or needs to sell in the off-season, internet flea market selling can provide great benefits. Not only can you sell items 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, you can reach millions of potential customers all over the world, and not just those who drive out to the local venue on a weekend.
Selling items any time of day or night is one of the best reasons to choose internet flea market sales over face-to-face sales. No longer will you need to wake at the crack of dawn to load the truck and drive up to an hour or more to reach the venue. Log on to the computer any time and check your products to see if they sold or not. Add new products as soon as you get them as well.
Matters of location also slip away when taking part in internet flea market selling. As long as you agree to ship worldwide, you can increase your customer base by extreme numbers. Even limiting sales to the United States provides a much greater number of customers. If you choose a popular venue for your online market sales, such as Ebay or Amazon marketplace, you will have the same kind of built-in traffic you might get at a heavily-advertised flea market venue, just exponentially greater.
Another benefit to using a popular online marketplace is in finding merchandise to resell as well. Some people make a business out of buying low and selling high on the same online venue. Unless you work exclusively with a wholesale merchandise supplier or get your products locally, this is a profitable business model to consider.
Whether you want to negate the affects of bad weather, increase your potential customer base both in number and geographically, find new product lines and suppliers, or simply avoid the need to wake up early and bustle about in crowds all day, internet flea market selling is a solution to consider. While many vendors sell at flea markets because they enjoy the whole process and atmosphere, others simple want to maximize sales. Internet flea market selling, whether full-tiime or seasonal, can provide.

interesting. Thanks!
Great tips.
Very interesting article. One downside to internet listing may be the extra work involved in taking pictures and typing a description of each item. Other than that I think it could be profitable to sell online vs. on location.
Tried selling at our local flea market, never online, though. Thanks for the tips.
Super information. Thanks. My daughter used to pick up free items on Craig's list and resell them in her garage sale. While it wasn't much money, It normally provided an extra $50
