Top Billboard Music Debuts- January 9, 2010

Michael Taylor
This week didn't have very many debuts. They still have a lot of Christmas songs on their charts. By next week, Christmas songs should be gone and there should be a lot of debuts. Like last week, no Christmas songs make my top 10 list. This week's top debuts in my opinion are as follows.

10. Call Me 4 Dat Good by Just Brittany: This song debuted at 95 on Hip Hop/R&B Charts. I haven't heard this song yet, but it is the second highest rated song I haven't heard yet.

9. Grown Man by Bradd Young: This song debuted at 92 on Hip Hop/R&B Charts. I haven't heard this song yet, but it is the highest rated song I haven't heard yet.

8. Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) by The Chipettes: This song debuted at 11 on Heatseekers Charts. The Chipettes are the fictional female Chipmunks from Alvin and the Chipmunks. This is their version of Beyonce's song from the new movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel.

7. Big Time Rush by Big Time Rush: This song debuted at 18 on Heatseekers Charts. This song comes from the new Nickelodeon series by the same name.

6. Music Box by Eminem: This song debuted at 82 on Billboard Top 100 Charts. This isn't even close to one of Eminem's best songs. But, there weren't very many debuts this week. If there were more debuts, this song probably wouldn't have made the list.

5. It Ain't Over by Maurette Brown Clark: This song debuted at 99 on Hip Hop/R&B Charts. This song is on the R&B Charts but is actually a gospel song. The average young music listener won't listen to this song much. But, it is a good song and well performed.

4. Do You Think About Me by 50 Cent: This song debuted at 97 on Hip Hop/R&B Charts. This is the third single off the album Before I Self Destruct. I didn't really like this song the first time I heard it. Then I saw the video and started to like the song a little better. It reminds me of some bitter exes.

3. Belle Of The Boulevard by Dashboard Confessional: This song debuted at 37 on the Adult Pop Charts. This is the first single off their new album After the Ending.

2. Unstoppable by Rascall Flatts: There was no doubt what the top two songs were for this week. This song debuted at 56 on the Country Charts. This is the fourth single off the Unstoppable album. I don't believe it will reach number 1 like Here Comes Goodbye did. But, it is still very good and definitely one of the best debuts this week.

1. 2009 Rap Up by Skilllz: This song was the lowest debut of the week. It debuted at 100 on the Hip Hop/R&B Charts. But, this song should rise a lot in the charts. He raps about everything that happened in 2009. The music and the lyrics were all great.

Other debuts included I Don't Know Yall by Young Dro, Angel by Liz Scott, and Desperate by Fireflight.
