1. Build-a-Bear Workshop (One Mills Circle, Ontario)
Build-a-Bear Workshop fosters a loving & caring attitude amongst the party goers as a result of the 'building-a-bear' activity. Guests are given bears pre-selected by you ($10 or more) to stuff. Each bear includes stuffing, a 1 inch red fabric heart, a special love wish to embed into the bear before it is sewn closed, an air bath, a cardboard house to store the bear and a birth certificate for the bear. As the parent of the celebrant, you can set a budget as to how much per child you'd like to spend on each bear and decide whether or not you'd like to include outfits for the bears. With a minimum of 6 guests, the celebrant gets an autographed bear, each his/her guest receives a party favor, a party leader to manage the flow of the party and printable invitations.
Because of the popularity of the Workshop, you will have to book the party 3-4 months in advance and place a deposit to secure your desired date. No food is allowed in the stores, however, you can easily walk to the Food Court conveniently located at the Ontario Mills Mall.
2. Pump It Up! (11966 Jack Benny Drive, Rancho Cucamonga)
At Pump It Up!, you can allow your celebrant and his/her friends to release their energies out onto the jumpers. This facility has two large rooms filled with a variety of bouncers, air hockey tables, balls etc. to keep the party goers entertained. Prior to allowing the children into the play rooms, the parents of each guest must sign a waiver and each guest must be wearing socks. A safety video and instructional talk is offered to the guests before the party starts. After playing in both inflatable arenas, the party continues in the "Party Room" where the children can have refreshments and/or open presents.
If Pump It Up! is booked and you are searching for a Rancho Cucamonga bouncer facility, then you can check out Jumpin' Jacks (located less than 1 mile west of Pump It Up!) and/or Skeekamos (across the street) for possible alternatives.
3. Scandia (1155 South Wanamaker Avenue, Ontario)
For an amusement park birthday party, Scandia is an appropriate venue. Children can enjoy various mechanical rides, giant slide, roller coaster, mini-race cars on a circular track, motorized bumper boats, miniature golf and arcade games. You pay per child depending on what ride access you choose for the guests; prices start at $14.95/child. Pizza and beverages are extra and must be ordered through Scandia. 10 free tokens are given each guest, tables are decorated with table cloths and balloons, and paper goods are provided at no charge. A souvenir cup is also given to the celebrant amongst an unlimited ride pass and additional free tokens.
4. Girl Mania (7825 Kew Ave, Etiwanda)
For a girls only party, the guest of honor can choose to party at Girl Mania. As the celebrant, she can choose to give her party guests boas or Girl Mania t-shirts as her give aways. The girls receive a sparkly make over, complete whit glitter eye shadow and twisty up-do. The party coordinator also teaches the girls a dance routine during the party that they perform on a stage located at the back of the store. Depending on your party package, you can serve cake & ice cream and also provide a craft activity. This place is perfect for girls ages 4-15 years old to have the chance to play dress-up and get glammed for the day. My girls thoroughly enjoyed the parties they attended here.
5. Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park (800 N. Archibald Ave., Ontario)
If the celebrant's birth date falls on a day during the warm summer months, then a day at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park may be the perfect location for the birthday party. You can enjoy a party near the pool, or a picnic near the water play-ground. Be sure to have your guests bring a bathing suit and a change of clothing so they can enjoy either water feature. There is a small entrance fee ($7 parking or $2/person to swim) to enter into the park unless you make arrangements with the attendants at the gate. If you plan to have a party with a large group, you may have to make a reservation to secure a spot for your party. Contact the park for more information.
This venue is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and keep cool via the water features.
6. Sawdust Factory (1525 Howard Access Rd #F, Upland)
The Sawdust Factory is great place to exercise the 'craftiness' in every child. Each guest (you specify the number) is given a preassembled wooden craft and is given paint supplies to customize the wooden piece to their own preferences. There are 15 different themes to choose from to fit any child's desired interest: from "Awesome Aquarium," "Glamour Girl," to "Construction Zone." They ask for a minimum of 10 guests/party and book at least 1 month in advance. They will provide you a 2 1/2 hour formatted party complete with coordinator, game & prize, photo frame for the celebrant, balloons, special birthday chair for opening presents, lollipops for the guests and more. You are welcome to bring in snacks and finger foods; just let them know when you book your party. Prices range from $15.50-21.50 per child depending on what project theme you select.
In addition, your child will also have the opportunity to be 'immortalized' when he/she places her painted hand print on the wall of birthday celebrants with her name. My kids had a great time when their cousin held her birthday party there. It's a unique place for the creative artists wanting to veer away from jumpers and arcade games.
7. Brunswick Deer Creek Lanes (7930 Haven Ave., Rancho Cucamonga)
Bowling is always fun for the kids. They enjoy being able to roll their own bowling ball down the lane to hit the pins. Gutter guards can be provided for the younger aged guests. You can order pizza & soda at the facility. Balloons and a bowling pin for autographs is provided to the guest of honor. This facility can get loud because of the type of activity, however, children truly enjoy bowling and can practice taking turns with one another. With the younger bowlers, take care that the inexperienced bowlers do not accidentally release the ball towards the party guests instead of the pins.
