Many of the boxing gyms in Boston have taken notice and have special classes for women and some for children as young as 8 years old. Boxing is not just for those who want to become professional. It is a great exercise for just about anyone and you can take it as far as you want. Each one of these boxing gyms in Boston has something a bit different to offer in including the opportunity to combing boxing with martial arts. Find the one that fits the bill as far as location and times and give it a try. You will never know how much you can accomplish until you do.

They have programs for both those who want to fight professionally and those who want to learn boxing as a part of their health routine. And there are group classes for women and children. They are an Olympic Boxing Training Center and the make safety their primary concern. They have also just started cardio classes, which are free to all of the members. They are open Monday to Thrusday 4 to 10 Pm. Friday 4 to 9 and Saturday noon to 5PM.

The Ring Boxing Club will give you one free trial lesson. They welcome beginners and have women's and children's classes. You can choose from different types of memberships - unlimited instruction, limited instruction with restricted hours, general membership, which is good for those with some experience or general membership with restricted hours. They have a plan to fit any budget and are open Monday to Friday 12 to 10 and Saturday from 12 to 6.

The Boston Muay Thai Academy has a boxing program for both men an women in addition to their martial arts classes. The boxing gym is open from 6pm-9pm Monday through Friday. They recommend boxing as an alternative to aerobics exercise. They welcome both beginners and experienced boxers.

All of the classes at Wai Kri are open to all of the members all of the time. You can take as many classes a week as you want, so you have the option of combining boxing with martial arts if that is what you wish, at no extra cost. Boxing classes are Wednesday at 5:30 Pm and Saturday at 3 and 6 PM The gym is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6am - 8am & 12pm - 10pm, Wednesday from 6am - 8am & 12pm - 10:30pm Saturday 1pm - 6pm and Sunday 1pm - 4pm.
