A.) Caesar, Wild West and Bally's Casino
I group these casinos together because they are all connected to each other. They might be three different casinos, but they complement each other. Bally have the best comps from free hotel rooms to literally giving $5 to $20 for just coming by. The free hotel rooms are in their older building called Claridge which looks like an old fashion hotel room, but free is free. Wild West Casino is very old and small but it is a great place to find many lower minimum tables. You will see a lot more $5 blackjack and roulette tables than Caesar and Bally.
Finally, Caesar is one of the top three casinos in Atlantic City. It has aged very well and it is very popular for many people. The hotel rooms are much nicer than Bally's and the table minimum are usually $5 higher than Bally's/Wild West. It is also the prime location for the Pier Shops and the outdoor outlet that is walking distance away. For non-gambling people, you can spend a lot of time at the outdoor outlet center and the Pier Shops without being tempted to gamble. Caesar's is a bit stingy on their comps unless you are Diamond or higher on the Total Rewards Card. The Noodle Bar at Caesar is a personal favorite for Pad Thai and beef chow fun.
B.) Harrah's Casino
Although Harrah's is away from the Boardwalk, it is one of the best casinos in Atlantic City. It recently opened a new Waterfront Tower and has the best nightclub in AC. The poolside nightclub attracts a lot of people on weekends. Harrah is also the nicest in giving comps away which includes free hotel room, free buffet and sometimes $25 to $50 in comps. The casino floor is also nicer than any of the casinos on the boardwalk and bigger in size. There are also more tables but it is near impossible to find low minimum tables on weekends. Shopping is non-existent so you might be tempted to gamble if you are bored. The restaurants have horrible service and expensive. I usually stick with the cafeteria food or something from the deli.
C.) Borgata Casino
Borgata is also away from the Boardwalk and it is near Harrah Casino. It is walking distance but it is not very safe as there are no pedestrian streets. Borgata is the newest casino in Atlantic City which also makes it the most popular and most crowded. The waitress are also unbelievable gorgeous with their black dresses. Unlike the waitress in other casinos who are over 35 years old, Borgata is more in the 20's and low 30's. The casino floor looks identical to Harrah's and it is also very large. Borgata has the second biggest poker room and it is very crowded, even in the early morning. I never gotten much comps from Borgata but they are generous in room upgrade and the rooms are amazing. Shopping is also non-existent so you might be tempted to gamble if you are bored.
Notables
Showboat - It has the biggest Poker room in Atlantic City and a lot of action. The casino floor is similar to Bally but the location is horrible. It is also on the Boardwalk but 20 minutes walking distance away from Caesar and 40 from Tropicana.
Tropicana- The selection of restaurant is much better than any other casinos. There are Carmines, Hooters, Country Kitchen and P.F. Changs. There is also a very nice indoor shopping area (second best to the Pier Shops) with an IMAX movie theater. Everything else is old.
Trump and the Trump Marina are absolute garbage and they should be torn down and built a better casino like the Venetian or the Wynn.
