Top Chef is rapidly progressing through the Season 5 episodes. It is currently the Number 1 food show on the cable television network Bravo. The culinary chefs are in a competitive pursuit for stardom. In each episode the chefs are confronted with two challenges. The Quickfire Challenge tests their basic abilities. The Elimination Challenge tests the versatility and inventiveness of the chefs through culinary trials. The challenges the chefs face test their skills in the kitchen and beyond. They are confronted with demanding customer service issues. They are required to exhibit management and teamwork abilities, too. As the name of the second challenge implies -- each week at least one individual is eliminated from the contest. The overall goal of Season 5 is to attain the coveted status of Top Chef.
