Top Christmas Songs for 2009

One of my favorite Holidays for music is Christmas. You get to listen to all varieties of Christmas music from different genders/Eras. Some of the most popular Christmas songs such as Jingle Bells, Silver Bells, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Santa Baby have been sung by various artists, which is cool because, it allows you to hear new beats and sounds to each one of these songs.

Christmas songs can be funny, romantic, easy listening, or upbeat. It really depends on what type of mood you are in, and your style of music. There is no right or wrong favorite Christmas song, so don't feel left out if a Christmas song you like someone else doesn't.

Last year I wrote an article called "Ultimate Christmas Playlist for Your Christmas Party." This article has Christmas songs by various artists such as Bon Jovi, Smashing Pumpkins, Extreme, No doubt and even Alice Cooper. This year 2009 favorite Christmas music play list will include oldies, and newbie's and in-betweens.

#1 Top Christmas song for 2009 is the one and only "Chipmunk Song" by the Chipmunks, and Dave Seville. How can you not love this song? Every child or adult in America listens to this song at least 5 times during the Christmas season with a smile on their face. This Christmas has been a huge hit ever since it came out in the 1950's.

#2 Top Christmas song for 2009 is Mariah Carey "All I Want for Christmas Is you", but just in time for Christmas 2009, Mariah Carey will have a new Christmas album out that will feature a recording with her mother.

#3 Top Christmas song for 2009 is "Ave Maria" sung by Josh Grobin. This beautiful religious classic song just simply memorizes almost everyone who listens to it. Josh's voice is simply pure.

#4 Top Christmas song for 2009 is an oldie but real goodie by an eighties band called Wham. This old time favorite Christmas song "Last Christmas" has a great beat and enjoyable for all ages.

#5 Top Christmas song for 2009 is "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by the boss Bruce Springsteen. His strong raspy voice does this Christmas song very well. Other various artists have sung this song, but Bruce remains on top with this one.

#6 Top Christmas song for 2009 is 'Happy Xmas War Is Over" by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. This Christmas song will have some in tears it's very expressive. It has beautiful words to it for all to appreciate.

#7 Top Christmas song for 2009 is "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby. Need I say more?

#8 Top Christmas song for 2009 is "Winter Wonderland" by Ozzy Osbourne and Jessica Simpson. I know this may surprise you, but if you listen to this song you will see why I placed it on my list. It has great tune, beat, and great for any Christmas party.

#9 Top Christmas song for 2009 is "Give Love On Christmas Day" by the Jackson 5. Speaking of the Jackson 5, there will be a new Christmas release called the "Jackson 5 Ultimate Christmas Collection."

#10 Top Christmas song for 2009 is "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band-aid. This song is just simply amazing. Various artists made this song today one of the biggest hits of all times.

Other top Christmas songs for 2009 is 'So This Is Christmas" by John Lennon, "Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms, 'This Gift" by 98 Degrees, Rockin Around The Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee, All Elvis Presley Christmas songs, "The Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole, "Christmas Shoes" by Bob Carlisle, "Holy Night" by Whitney Houston, and any version of "Frosty The Snowman", or "Here Comes Santa Claus."
