Top Christmas Video Games - Fan Favorites

Richard Banks
Fans have been hitting my Top 5 Video Games for Christmas 2010 often wondering why I didn't include some of the hottest video games being released this year. That's not to mention the video game fans that wondered why I included the games I did. A top 5 video game list is always hard to compile because there are a massive number of video game fans that live the love / hate relationship of gaming.

Well fans, I listened to your calls so here are the fan favorites for video games Christmas 2010.

Fallout New Vegas

Bethesda has created another gem with the upcoming release of Fallout New Vegas. Set in the Great Southwest, Fallout New Vegas will take you on an exciting journey across the wastelands of the Mojave Desert. As a fan of the Fallout series, don't expect Fallout New Vegas to be a continuation of Fallout 3, but rather a new angle on this open world shooter. Fallout New Vegas is not for the faint at heart. This game is rated M by the ESRB for blood and gore, intense violence, sexual content, strong language, and use of drugs. If I were a gambling man, I would bet on Fallout New Vegas.

Little Big Planet 2

Fans of Sackboy will be excited for the late fall release of Little Big Planet 2. With over 50 levels to play, fans will have countless hours of uninterrupted fun. Create, play, and share features have been enhanced as well. You will be able to create your own video games by having access to the create tools. Add to the mix over 2 million users and game play is now taken to another level. So 50 levels have now increased to over 2 million when you share your creation. If you are looking for a family friendly game, then this is it. ESRB rated this game E for everyone. Sackboy, your adventures are waiting.

Epic Mickey

Exclusively for the Wii, Epic Mickey will take players on a journey like no other. You are taken into Wasteland, an alternative made up of Disney's early creations. Epic Mickey shakes things up by mixing genres of game play. Platforming, action-adventure, and light role playing are included in this soon to be family favorite. How do you change the world? Mickey uses paint and paint thinner to create/change his surroundings. If your family wants to experience something new, then Epic Mickey is your choice.

NFS: Hot Pursuit

If you have the need for speed in your gaming, then you be excited about the newest installment in the Need for Speed franchise. Here is what you are anticipating. Enhanced career mode allows you to experience action as the driver or the cops. The cars are today's most exotic creations such as the Lamborghini Reventon and the Pagani Zonda Cinque. And the open world format of Seacoast County. So start your engine and drive to infamy.

Fans are what make video games what they are today. Without the diehard fans dedicating hours of their lives achieving new trophies and beating new levels, video games will no longer be relevant. Thank you to all of the fans who opened my eyes to the vast array of upcoming video games available this holiday season.
