Christmas is a lively and spirited time of the year. It's always beautiful with all of the magnificent colorful Christmas lights, holiday decorations and cheerful music that plays all throughout cities all over the world. It can also be exciting to see how other areas beautify and celebrate for Christmas too. There are a variety of online Christmas webcams that we can watch throughout the Christmas season.

For those who want to peak in on Santa Claus, they can view the inside and outside of Santa's office at the Artic Circle in Finland. Tune in while you listen to Christmas music and watch the lights or see the light fluffy snow on the ground. There is also previously recorded video of a morning in Santa Claus village or you can observe the daily activities of the people who come to visit the office too. The website also provides information on how children can mail Santa Claus a letter too.

Alek's Controllable Christmas Lights
for Celiac Disease, another very popular Christmas webcam website, has over 20,000 Christmas lights for you to control from your computer. This website raises money to treat and fight Celiac disease. So far, it has raised over $50,000 to the University of Maryland Center for Celiac Disease. The webmaster, Alek, has children who has Celiac disease, and puts his website up every year to help raise money for the cause. Visitors can inflate and deflate the various blow-up Christmas decorations that sit on the front lawn. Web surfers can also turn on and off many of the selected Christmas light displays. Millions of visitors surf this website every year to get their chance to play with the Christmas lights and to have their message show up on the LED screen displayed in Alek's office.

If you would like to view one of the largest trees in the United States, take a virtual trip to New York to gaze at the Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center . The Rockefeller Christmas tree is around 65 feet tall and 35 feet wide. It takes as many as five miles of lights to decorate the tree. In 2010, the Christmas lights are due to be lit up on November 30 th . The tree will then be taken down on January 2, 2011. The tree is usually lit up from 5:30am to 11:30 pm each day except for Christmas day and on New Year's eve. On Christmas day, the lights are on for 24 hours and on New Year's eve, the lights are turned off at 9pm.
