Odyssey Comics
10711 Northeast Highway 99
Vancouver, WA
(360) 573-6172
Odyssey is a smaller comic store, right next to a convenience store on the busy Highway 99. Expect to see lots of used car dealerships and seedy motels in this area. However, Odyssey itself is a decent comic book store with a nice selection. They even sometimes carry some non-comic book, gaming related material, like the Mech Warrior: Dark Age kits (several years ago). If driving north on Highway 99 (it is more of a normal street, not a true "highway"), Odyssey Comics in on your right side, just before the Velvet Hammer auto repair and the large church, both also on the right side when traveling north.
Amazing Stories
2101 East 4th Plain Boulevard
Vancouver, WA
(360) 433-9407
Also in a slightly less affluent part of town, Amazing Stories is another popular comic book store in Clark County. 4th Plain Boulevard can be quite busy during peak traffic times, so be careful when finding Amazing Stories for the first time. They also deal in other collectibles besides comic books, including trading sports cards.
The Dame Comic Shop
Northeast 142nd Avenue
Vancouver, WA
(360) 980-4568
A new one in the area, the Dame Comic Shop is closer to the area serviced by the once-popular Z- Games comic and miniature wargaming store. East County residents may find this one more convenient.

Post a CommentAmazing Stories has now closed and a new comic store is opening up in their old space on November 26th 2010. It will not have the gaming like Amazing Stories became focused on but will be exclusively comics and supplies.
I currently own a used bookstore in Portland, but am looking into moving to the East Vancouver/Camas area. I am looking into selling comics as well, but I am trying to gauge the viability of a comic shop for the area. I would love to know how comic readers in East Clark County feel about the possibility of a new store in their area.
