Set on 15 beautiful acres overlooking the bay, the Balboa Bay Club is the perfect place to spend a vacation. With room rates generally running from $370 and up (although many package deals throughout the year provide great deals beginning as low as $290), this 5-star resort offers pretty much everything you need to relax and enjoy yourself.
Many of the rooms have breath-taking views of the bay, some with private patios. All rooms are spacious and decorated beautifully, sporting extremely comfortable beds and several towels - something many of even the nicest hotels seem to lack. Included for everyone to enjoy are a heated pool and spa, a fitness center, waterfront restaurants and lounge with nightly live entertainment, free newspaper and 24-hour room service - just to name some of the amenities.
Reminiscent of an Italian villa, it really sets the mood for luxurious casuality. All of this along with the very friendly, professional staff, you probably will not want to ever leave.

Another place of very high standards, the Balboa Inn Resort also throws in old Italian charm, from the hotel's beautiful architecture to the taste of the gourmet dining. Just walking distance from the beach and shoping, luxurious rooms begin at around a rate of $200, many of them offering balconies with an ocean view.
If you can afford it, you may choose to upgrade to a VIP suite (around $400 and up). You will not be disappointed by room atmosphere and amenities alone - with Italian marble bathroom floors and Jacuzzi tub, LCD TV, iPod docking station and classy decor, you will be made to feel right at home, or better.
The Balboa Inn is a great place for couples looking for a romantic get-away, or even families. The hotel and staff are very friendly and family-friendly, and make everyone feel welcome.

Priding themselves as Newport Beach's prime vacation destination, this Hyatt Regency offers many different luxurious rooms and suites, or four villas with private pools. With standard room rates usually beginning just under $200 and complimentary shuttle service to the John Wayne Airport, Fashion Island shopping center and Balboa Island, it's hard to go wrong here.
Also included for amenities are 16 lighted tennis courts, a 9-hole golf course, volleyball, bicycles, a health club and fitness center, jogging trails, and 3 different pools. The spacious, comfy rooms themselves all have nice views, whether of the beautiful hotel grounds or the bay.
The service is absolutely wonderful here, with a staff that tries their best to make you feel at home and are eager to assist if needed.
The Island Hotel Newport Beach

Another luxury resort, The Island Hotel truly gives a glamourous island feel as it sits against miles of beaches and within walking distance of great shopping and dining opportunity.
All of the guest rooms are spacious and have such an at-home feeling, with a suite-like feel even in the most standard of rooms. The bathrooms are all breathtaking in themselves, with beautiful marble and fresh flowers providing a nice atmosphere with nice amenities such as large pure cotton bath towels, bathrobes, high-quality bath products and more; other room amenities include a multi-line phone with voice mail, huge closets, iron and board, Wi-Fi access, flat screen television, private bar and one of the most comfortable beds you've ever slept in - just to name some things. But along with all the niceties comes a huge price - most rooms start around $400.
The rest of the hotel offers and outdoor pool and whirlpool, a fitness center, 2 lighted tennis courts, and free Wi-Fi in the lobby and pool area. Many other services entail at this fine establishment, with a staff that provides the utmost care for their guests.

This small Laguna Beach hotel provides a cozy atmosphere just a few blocks from the downtown area, which is full of wonderful restaurants, shopping and sightseeing choices. Each spacious room (rates beginning around $200) has a beautiful Mediterranean decorative theme, also providing views to the courtyard and pool - some with balconies that lead to breathtaking views of the ocean.
All of the rooms also include a sitting area, large flat screen television, refrigerator and microwave, Wi-Fi access, and very comfortable bedding among other amenities. Also on-site is a laundry facility, pool area, spa and sauna. A free continental breakfast is also offered.
The staff performs efficiently, doing their best to accommodate while always remaining in a very friendly manner. This is not the very best hotel in the area, but for the price and what you get in return, it's a great value.
