Below you will find a breakdown of the best-selling brands. If you are thinking of switching brands, start by purchasing a "trial-size" stick at your local pharmacy or supermarket-these only cost $0.99 to $1.50, and although they don't last for long, it gives you an opportunity to try something new and see if you like it.
Old Spice
With a new marketing campaign and a distinctly masculine smell, Old Spice is a popular brand for many middle-aged men. It is increasingly popular among college students and thirty-somethings as well, although I think the odor definitely attracts an older crowd-it is a little overpowering for those in their early twenties.
Right Guard
I have found this one to be the most popular "budget" brand of deodorant out there. I personally do not like the scent it gives off (a chemical, generic smell) and the deodorant agent itself feels chalky and leaves white "chunks" on your shirt-particularly unattractive if you are wearing a dark-colored dress shirt to work or dinner. Despite this, Right Guard is fairly effective at blocking odor and sweat, and it is certainly widely available at most stores in the United States.
AXE Deodorant & Bodyspray
I find the bodyspray to be somewhat ineffective, but the dry stick deodorant from AXE is superb-Phoenix is my favorite variety. It is a light, yet distinct odor that several women have commented on while in my presence. I highly recommend it. Trial-size availability of AXE appears to be somewhat limited, but I don't think you will regret the normal size.
Gillette
Gillette's "wet" and clear deodorant range of products is superb. I like their clear deodorant/anti-perspirant combo stick almost as much as AXE deodorant. The smell is modern and light; it doesn't nauseate women as Right Guard occasionally does, to my considerable dismay. Also, Gillette is fairly long-lasting; you won't need to reapply in the evening unless you have been doing heavy lifting or had a particularly stressful day at the office.
Part of life's fun involves trying new things. Too many of us stick with the same brand of deodorants for years at a time. If you are feeling bored next time you are shopping at the drug store, give a new brand a whirl!

I was using Old Spice and it made my underarms sting, and I also had lumps under there that were sore. I never tried natural deodorants before because I always heard they don't work but I finally tried one called Tough Love deodorant for men because my girlfriend swore by their women's deo... In Love Deodorant. This stuff is crazy awesome. It works better than the Old Spice and it got rid of all the stinging and lumps within a month. I'm telling everyone about it cause it's so great. It is also aluminum free.
I've tried most and liked the ones i've tried, I have'nt used AXE yet right now i'm using right gaurd sport, but it seems for some reason i have to use Solid sticks in the Fall and winter time and clear and gel in the spring in summer , One of the deoderants that you have forgot to mention is Power Stick they've got both clear and solid plus shower body wash, its a great deoderant ..I would only use one stick and that was Old Spice for about 10 yrs. until i got a reaction to it..Lately my last few deoderants have been Right Gaurd 3-d, Power Stick intensity , and Speed Stick 24/7 Gel those all have been solid sticks..
