Eco-friendly fashion is gaining in popularity. It offers many benefits such as being pesticide and insecticide free which can greatly aid your health over time. No one wants to wear fibers that might contain harmful or carcinogenic poisons next to their skin. Eco-friendly clothing gives you the peace of mind of knowing that each fiber is free of toxic substances.

The production of cotton uses forty percent of all pesticide usage in the world. Every year over 60,000 cotton farms die from pesticide poisoning or related cancers caused by this exposure. It is believed that pesticide poisoning not only kills the farms and farm workers but also over 40 million birds will die from contamination. Scientists also believe that pesticide is the real reason that honey bee's are dying off around North America at an alarming rate.

Many people do not realize that the production of polyester takes a great deal of energy and is very high in oil. Eco-friendly clothing is produced from sustainable resources such as plant life and recycled fibers.

I watched the video of Tara St. James' Spring line and I was really impressed. The structures of her pieces were remarkable. I really wanna cooperate and be more green, but you must admit that green clothing is not very affordable. If it wasn't for that I would be all over it.
