This website is featured as an international fashion flipbook where users and visitors can browse through it based on the latest updates from other fashion users. Basically, users have their picture taken featuring distinct and fashion-forward outfits and post it on their profiles. Other users can vote, become their fans, and leave encouraging comments. There is also a feature called "Shop This Look" revenue sharing service where similar looking clothing items of your outfit from other retailers are posted and if someone purchases such clothing or accessories you can earn a percentage of the profit. This website also offers contests such as "Top Looks of the Week", "Top Looks of the Month", "Trendsetter of the Month", and "Cover Models". These are determined by the number of votes you receive from other users. One of my friends has been a winner for most of these contests and is currently featured as their "Cover Model". A link to her profile is included here: www.moderepublic.com/fancymimi.
Chictopia
This is another website for the fashion savvy. It has style galleries, individual fashion profiles, forums, and fan counts (related to style icons). With this site you can earn "Chictopia points" and redeem them at their online Chictopia shop for clothing items and accessories. This site also offers ways to get discounts and how to enter various fashion contests. It has been associated with retailers such as Forever21 and Revolve Clothing. Here is a link to my friend's individual fashion profile as an example: www.chictopia.com/catsywinx7
Start Your Own Fashion Blog
Another way to get recognized is by creating your own fashion blog. . A blog can also express your uniqueness and creativity simply by the way you lay it out and the thoughts that you share on it. My friend started one of these and is making her style more known by linking her ModeRepublic and Chictopia profiles to her blog. You basically add badges to your blogs to link to your ModeRepublic fashion flipbook and Chictopia stylegallery. Here is an example and link to my friend's personal fashion blog: www.thefancyteacup.blogspot.com.
Social Networks
Another way you get your name out there is by posting updated links to your fashion profiles on social networks such as "Facebook". That way friends and acquaintances can get regular updates on your latest fashion findings and whereabouts. This can encourage more people to vote for you for contests and possibly even get you connections to those involved in the fashion and modeling industry.
