Top Five Airline Websites

Sabrina Ricci
As a person who loves to travel, I have managed to find many great, cheap airline websites over the past few years. Here is a list of the top five.

Travelzoo

This is an excellent website that you can subscribe to via email, and they will send you a list of the top 20 current airline deals each week. And on their actual website, they break down the best airline deals into easy to use categories, such as vacation specials, best of the season, and airfare sales. They also write about deals for hotel stays and cruises, making this travel website a sort of one-stop shop.

Cheap Flights

Cheap Flights is the mother of all airline websites. They combine all the airfare search sites, including Virgin, Expedia, Orbitz, Jet Blue, Priceline, American Airlines, Cheapoair, and British Airways. This is an easy way to find the best priced airline tickets.

Expedia

I know, I basically ruled out this website by mentioning Cheap Flights, but if you have to pick one airfare search site, then I recommend this one. Expedia allows you to search hotel, car, and cruise prices, as well as scan airlines for multiple flights. You can even look into vacation packages, and you have the option of subscribing to their emails so you can always know when there is a good deal available.

EasyJet

Known as "Europe's leading low cost airline," EasyJet is a great website for those of you planning to travel all over Europe. They offer some of the cheapest flights around the continent, and if you book your flights a few weeks to a month in advance, it ends up being the cheapest way to travel. Using EasyJet can be less expensive than the Eurorail, and it saves you a lot of time-so you have more time to spend actually seeing all the sights.

RyanAir

RyanAir is another cheap airline in Europe. Currently RyanAir is offering £5 one-way flights for October through December. The only downside to using RyanAir is that they charge extra for your carry-on. So, if you do travel with RyanAir, try to pack a light backpack-meaning, only pack the essentials, such as toothbrush, change of clothes, etc. Therefore, the best time to use RyanAir is you are staying in Europe for an extended period of time, such as if you are studying abroad, and you are planning a weekend trip somewhere in Europe.
