There is nothing like a good horror movie to enjoy, which is why Asian horror is one of the best genres out there. If you are truly seeking a few that might keep you up at night, here are the top five Asian horror films.

Coming Soon (Thailand) this is a movie within a movie, a true thriller that will keep your eyes glued from beginning to end. What would you do if you watched a scary movie and then find yourself living the very scenes that you just watched? Creepy! this one should be seen with someone else around, not because you will be scared or anything, just for the company.

Shutter (Thailand) is about a couple who after an incident starts seeing a ghostly image in pictures that are taken, series of events happen that links the incident to the image that seems to be haunting them. A great thriller with an unsuspecting, but great ending.

Janghwa, Hongryeon - A Tale of Two Sisters (Korea) This is a beautiful, well-constructed psychological thriller that grabs you from the first few scenes when we witness one of the sisters in what seems to be some sort of institution. The sisters return home to their father and step-mother who the sisters seem to not take a liking to. Follow their story to see what happens and what unfolds and explains the story behind it all, a truly great movie that many will appreciate.

Batoru Rowaiaru - Battle Royale (Japan) What would you do if you were a student in school and had no choice but to participate in a real-life survival game in where you have to kill to win? The Japanese government has forced a group of school kids to participate against their will in what seems to be a game of survival. Watch this thriller to see how these kids try to survive when it comes to their friends and classmates. Each student is given a unique weapon which they can use to their advantage, for some unlucky students, this is not the case. In this game, there can only be one winner.

Gin Gwai - The Eye (Japan) is about a young woman who is blind and gets a cornea transplant to get back her eyesight and somehow starts seeing images that others cannot see. She then wants to know why she is seeing these things and travels out her way to find answers that will change everything. Watch this flick to see what it all means and how it all ties together in the end.
