Top Five Biggest "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" Villains

Chris Houston
Every season of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" has provided people that fans just couldn't quite stomach. With a large group of men or women, somebody always stood out as the "bad guy" or "bad girl". In fact, "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette" villain mysteriously always seemed to stick around a few episodes too long so that drama could unfold.

There's little doubt that the primary villain, sometimes pushed on fans by producers of the show, always made for more compelling television. Like them or not, the villains on the ABC reality television series made the show more interesting and sometimes fans were sad to see them go. With that in mind, here is my list of the top five "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" villains the show has ever witnessed.

1) Bentley Williams
Bentley Williams deserves to be at the extreme top of this villanous list because of his cruel comments towards "The Bachelorette" Ashley. Williams said so many horrible things that even host Chris Harrison tabbed him as the worst suitor the show has ever seen in his blog. "We've had so-called bad guys or villains on this show before," Harrison said. "But we've never had anything like this." Williams openly admitted during his private on-camera interviews that he wasn't into Ashley at all. He even said he wished "The Bachelorette" would have been Emily Maynard instead. Bentley, an investment banker from Utah, continued to lead Ashley on despite these horrific comments. You can witness some of his off the mark comments here on YouTube. There's little if any doubt that Bentley Williams belongs on the top of this list of the biggest villains in the history of the show.

2) Wes Hayden
Wes not only played Jillian Harris but he also opened up toward the end of the show and admitted he had a girlfriend. Wes might have redeemed himself to some extent with another appearance on "Bachelor Pad." Still, the smooth talking, guitar playing player from Texas was apparently still on the show just to promote his music career. Hayden left the show and admitted during his Limo ride home that he had a girlfriend back home. Although in a future interview that can be seen here on YouTube, Wes said his lengthy limo interview was edited down by producers of the show into a small clip.
Hayden also compared the validity of the show to wrestling during that interview and offered several other shocking insights as to what possibly takes place during the taping of the reality series. Still, Hayden is still viewed as one of the top villains the show has ever produced.

3) Vienna Girardi
Vienna was the girl that the other girls couldn't stand on the Jake season of "The Bachelor." Future "The Bachelorette" Ali was one of the first to openly criticize Vienna to Jake Pavelka on "The Bachelor." Ultimately, Jake chose Vienna in the final rose ceremony. It was a choice that shocked America because Vienna was always considered the villain by other cast members. In the end, Vienna and Jake split after the show. The two even gained more attention when they fought during one episode following the Finale. You can view that fight here on YouTube.

4) Brad Womack
Brad Womack may have re-worked his image with another appearance on "The Bachelor", but he'll always be remembered as the guy who left two women standing without a rose during his initial season. Womack had narrowed his choices down to DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft. In the end, Brad opted not to choose either. The heartbreak times two is often remembered as the most controversial moment ever on "The Bachelor." The tear jerker of an ending can still be viewed here on YouTube. Pappas, who was clearly devastated after not receiving a rose, moved on to become "The Bachelorette."

5) Rozlyn Papa
Do you remember the girl on "The Bachelor" Jake season who allegedly had an affair with a producer of the show? Rozlyn Papa was confronted by show host Chris Harrison for a reported hookup up with one of the "staffers." As you can see in this YouTube video, Harrison tells Roz the staffer got fired and Roz got the boot from the show. The so-called "sex scandal" was denied later by Papa-but she probably still will be remembered as a villain by fans of the show for allegedly opting for a cast member over pilot Jake. Who would dare try to find love when they are trying to find love for the sake of television?
