Is it time for a totally new hair style? Are you willing to be a little bit adventurous and cut off your longer locks? Or, perhaps, you are regrowing your hair from a certain treatment and would like your shorter locks to be a bit more stylish. Time to check out the top five so-called "boycuts" for women!

The Short Razored Cut

For some great texture in a shorter cut, the heavily razored layers in the Short Razored Cut are really sassy - they're a little bit wispy which makes them perfect for quick blow-dry styling in the mornings, and the ends are slightly tapered making it perfect for adding a little texture to your locks.

The Sharon-Stone Style Cut

You know the look: she's got super fine strands of hair, but she looks stunning with her short and shaggy hairstyle. It works really great if you can get some texture in there with certain hairstyling products - your hairstylist can help you choose these. Plus, it looks even better if you add some defining highlights much the same way Sharon Stone does with her pretty blonde locks.

Short Crop With Bangs

This is a great cut that includes bangs, in a longer length, that can even be partially tucked behind the ears. It's a very youthful and fun look, and works really great for women who have smaller foreheads.

Close-Cropped or Gamin

This is definitely a time-tested cut. It works best for women with dense locks with lots of texture, and is made up of short strands of hair at the nape of the neck leading to longer locks on the crown. It looks great even if you can't put a lot of work into it in the morning - in other words, it works as a tousled look too. Or, if you are going out for the night you can consider putting a side part in, which will add lots of definition. It's a very youthful and modern look.

Bob Haircut

While many haircuts, even the latter mentioned ones, can be considered a bob, there is only one true bob haircut. It comes in lots of variations to suit your facial shape (ask your hairstylist how this works), and it can add a lot of sophistication to your look. The look is simple, flattering, and can be dressed up or down depending on what hair style products you choose to use.
