1. A $100 gift card to their favorite clothing store
I can imagine your recipient's eyes lighting up when you give them a $100 gift card to the store of their choice. What better way to say Merry Christmas! Now go shopping. Sure, that gift will probably be gone in a matter of hours, but it's the thought that counts.
2. A ticket to an upcoming fashion show
People who are in fashion love going to fashion shows. Whether it's to see the latest styles or get ideas for fashions they're working on themselves, a fashion show ticket would be a great gift for your stylistic friend or family member.
3. Ethnic accessories for clothes they already have (rings, watches, belts, etc)
Depending on what city you live in you'll want to look for the small businesses or the mom-and-pop shops for accessories for your friend. This will require you going into their closet (if you have access like that) and seeing what kind of color schemes they like. Also seeing what kind of accessories they currently possess. Maybe what your friend needs is a purse... maybe a sterling silver ring for her index finger... maybe a good Perry Ellis belt for him... maybe matching accessories for that married couple. Do some research on stores in your area that has accessories that you can't find anywhere else. Anyone can go to Macy's and buy something, well, anyone with money that is. The smaller shops may be more willing to give you deals or discounts and the merchandise there is just as good as in a bigger name-brand store like Macy's.
4. A coupon to make you over
Has your friend been living to give you a makeover? For Christmas let him or her give you the look they think will maximize you. That's the person who has your image in their head and you may believe they can do a good job, so give them the opportunity. Sometimes what a fashion buff needs is a live mannequin to try out things on, so let that be you for a day. Makeup, clothes, hair, the whole works. Almost similar to TLC's popular show What Not To Wear, just instead of Stacy and Clinton it'll be your friend helping you in the fashion department... plus you won't have to throw anything out.
5. A shopping spree in New York City
One of the ultimate gifts you can get a fashion buff for Christmas... an all-expense paid trip to New York City, and money to shop with along Fifth Avenue. Your friend may actually cry over this one. Plan to spend a few days there to see the city as well as shop until their heart's content. Factor in cost for food and adventures and you'll have one great trip. This is something I'd love to do for my wife one day, although she's not a fashion buff.
