Top Five College Football Uniforms

C.B. Jones
College football is once again in full swing. It's been a wile few weeks, with quarterbacks going down, punching being thrown, and Oregon not having ugly jerseys anymore. Here are my top five College football uniforms, in no particular order.

Best College Football Uniforms: Iowa Hawkeyes.
The Hawkeyes may as well be called Steelers Junior, because they wear the same exact uniforms as the NFL's Pittsburgh team. The jersey is the same. The pants are the same. Only thing keeping them fro being as great as the Steelers is the severe lack of head coaches with prominent chins, or interesting personalities.

Best College Football Uniforms: The Miami Hurricanes.
It's The U. There's history there. Before he was The Rock, Dwayne Johnson was rocking a Miami Hurricanes uniform, and blowing up quarterbacks every chance he could get. If you want to be overly observant about it, their jerseys are kinda funny because the logo is upside down on the back of them. I think that blatant design flaw is what makes it so cool though.

Best College Football Uniforms: University of North Carolina.
Some say football players are supposed to strike fear in the hearts of their opponent. They say a uniform should be designed to convey some sort of aura that gives the impression that the wearer is an unstoppable force. Powder blue probably doesn't do any of that, but it sure does look nice. UNC is to College football, as The Chargers are to the NFL. They aren't expected to will it all, but they look good even in defeat.

Best College Football Uniforms: Louisville Cardinals.
The beauty is in the details...Sorta. Louisville's away jersey is white with red steaks on the shoulders. It's simple enough to be brilliant, and doesn't force it's self upon your eyes. Louisville's jerseys are the polar opposite of Syracuse's bright orange monster of doom jerseys. do not stare directly into those orange monstrosities, you'll surely go blind within seconds.

Best College Football Uniforms: Oregon Ducks.
Their current design features wings on the shoulders. Previously, they had what looked like tire treads. The only reason Oregon is on this list is because the new jersey is easily 14 times better than that other one. Is it really one of the best in all of college football? Heck no.Will they have great uniforms, even if the colors are green and yellow? It's possible. This is progress, and you have to reward them for trying.

This has become such a side show. Fancy unis, worn by wannabe rock stars... with dreadlocks... it is beginning to sicken me. Kids don't know how to block and tackle anymore... all they're worried about is how much camera time they get and how much their NFL contract is gonna be. It's more and more about the money and less and less about the game. When a kid celebrates a "so called tackle" while his team is down by 3 touchdowns is just so wrong.... Get over yourselves and just play the game, with a little humility... please.
