Top Five Dumbest Celebrities

Michael Snow
There's a long history of celebrities entertaining us with unintentional comedy. Whether it's Arnold Schwartzanegger saying: "I think gay marriage is something that should be between a man and a woman," or Tara Reid trying to make fun of herself: "I make Jessica Simpson look like a rock scientist" dumb celebrity quotes are always fun. But only one can take the top spot in the dumb celebrity hall of fame. Here are the top five.

Number Five

Britney Spears: No list of Celebrity stupidity could be complete without Britney. With all the crotch flashing, head shaving, baby dropping, and quotes like: "I've never really wanted to go to Japan simply because I don't like eating fish. And I know that's very popular out there in Africa."

Number Four

Mariah Carey: her tendency to show up drunk to awards shows got her on the list; the following quote put her close to the top. "Whenever I see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff." I'm sure she meant well, but not the best choice of words.
*CORRECTION: IN THE COMMENTS, IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS WAS FROM A PARODY INTERVIEW, AND THUS NOT ACTUALLY A STUPID QUOTE. SHE'S STILL ON THE LIST, BUT THIS CORRECTION HAD TO BE MADE.*

Number Three

George W. Bush: This is not political. Don't get offended my conservative friends. The great thing about W is that he really united people; Republicans and Democrats shook their heads in unison listening to such gems as: "Will the highways on the internet become more few?" and "They missunderestimated me."

Number Two

Tom Cruise: "Matt...Matt...you're glib!"

And of course who else could take the number one spot. . .

Kanye West: No celebrity has done more to support the image of the A-hole celebrity than Kanye. Every time he takes the stage at an awards show it's more uncomfortable than a drunk Mel Gibson directing the local production of fiddler on the roof. Kanye has said that he believes if the bible were written today, he would be part of it. He was also quoted saying "I realize that my place and position in history is that I will go down as the voice of this generation." Clearly he thinks he is something great, but in actuality, his only impact on society is taking the art of douchebaggery to an impressive new level.

...OK Tom Cruise I'm gonna let you finish, but I just wanna say, I'm the biggest A-hole celebrity Moron of all time. . . . .of all time!

Mariah Carey never made the comment about starving kids -- it was made up for a parody interview. See http://www.snopes.com/quotes/carey.asp.
