5. JoJo's Circus
All children need to be taught good morals and life skills, and this show does an excellent job of reinforcing these skills. Jojo's Circus is a very interactive show. I love the way JoJo speaks directly to the audience and includes them in the show. The main character JoJo Tickle will teach your child to be polite, play games, sing, and dance. this show will definitely hold your child's attention while instilling good morals at the same time.
4. Dora the Explorer
This was my three year old daughter's first favorite show. If you want your children to learn Spanish then this is the show for them. Dora frequently uses Spanish throughout the show. This show also teaches math and music skills.. Everyday Dora goes on a different adventure exploring the world around her. Dora the Explorer is sure to be a hit in your house!
3. Barney
Barney has been around for quite some time. Barney's show really teaches a variety of academic skills. Children can learn math concepts, reading, dental hygiene, and more. Each adventure with Barney is an exciting, rewarding, and educational one.
2. Between the Lions
My children just recently started watching this show. This show is excellent at teaching reading skills. I love the way that someone on the show will read a story and the words are highlighted on the screen as the story is read. The show goes over every aspect of reading from vowels to consonant clusters. I was truly amazed the first time I watched Between the Lions. My children have benefited so much from this show. Whether your child is a beginning reader, struggling reader, or advanced reader Between the Lions will provide them with a fun approach to reading.
1. Sesame Street
My number 1 pick for the best educational show for children is Sesame Street. I grew up watching this show. It has been loved by children for 35 years! Sesame Street teaches the alphabet, reading skills, mathematics, morals, etc. The list goes on and on. The thing I love most about Sesame Street is that it is such a fun show! There is always an interesting theme, cartoon, or skit on every show. The characters are so lovable, fun, and entertaining. My son's favorite character is Elmo. Elmo has his own show within the show called Elmo's World which is a hit among toddlers and preschoolers. If you have to just pick one educational show for your child to watch during the day, pick Sesame Street!

Post a Commentmy younger siblings (1-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl) loves to watch shows on nickelodeon...dora, diego, backyardigans, spongebob and so on...they begin to know how to speak english through it and also with our guidance..they also love to watch blue's clues where they learn how to count and respond to the questions asked...
after this things said, i realized that watching these shows helped my siblings to learn and are able to apply it through everyday life. therefore, educational shows, if continued to produced, will no doubt produce such wonderful children with more advanced minds compared to the past generations..
keep the shows coming! and we'll keep on supporting!
My sisters favorite show is Barny and is was mine too. She is six and im seventeen and sometimes i still watch it with her. That is a good show for children to learn colors, shapes, sharing with others and just having fun.
My 4 year old watches these shows except Barney. I can't stand him, but he does teach good things like manners. I love Between the Lions though, great show!
I will keep this list in mind, my son isn't really interested in "watching" tv yet. I mean he tries to crawl over to it a lot, but that is just to attempt to press the buttons and see his reflection. LOL
