Leggings
Leggings are one of the top fall wardrobe basics for teens again this year. Leggings were worn in the 1980's through the middle of the 1990's and came back in style and are sticking around. Dark color leggings, such as black, blue and brown should be worn as an accessory under your clothing. Teens are wearing leggings under dresses, skirts, over-sized shirts, long tunic shirts, and cardigans. Some important items to remember about leggings is to always purchase a thick and matte legging to wear and to always match the color of the leggings with your shoes. For more tips on wearing leggings, watch the LeggingsDo'sandDon'ts from CBS news.
Skinny-Legged Jeans
Jeans are a must for any teen and the skinny legged jeans are one of the top fall wardrobe basics for teens this fall. Black or dark blue are the colors that are in and are usually dressed with bell sleeve and tunic sleeve tops as well as the cardigans for a dressy look and can be worn with an long shirt or a camisole under a blazer.
Ballet Flat Shoes or low cut sneakers
Ballet flat shoes and low cut sneakers are the perfect pair of shoes to go with the leggings and skinny legged jeans. The ballet flat shoes are perfect for a dressier look and the low cut sneakers are a great for a sporty look. It is important to remember to match the shoe color with the legging or skinny legged jean color.
Hoodie
Hoodies are another fall wardrobe basic for teens, especially the tunic hoodies to go with the leggings and skinny legged jeans. These are a must for every teen to have in their closet. Animal prints, plaids, and patterns are in this year when it comes to the hoodies. Alloy has a great tunic hoodie with marble wash that would go great with black leggings or black skinny legged jeans.
Military Clothing
Military clothing seems to keep evolving each year and is a great fall wardrobe basic for teens. Alloy has a great selection of t-shirts, cardigans, coats, and blouses for your teen. Look for the military look with metal buttons and colors of navy and gray. JCPenny's has a cotton military cadet cap that teens will love.
