This is a great way to teach your children to be more conscious about how they affect Mother Earth while also having fun and making Valentine's Day gifts. Aren't sure where to get started? • Reuse newspaper, magazines and packing paper.
  • Save up odds and ends like buttons, beads and ribbons for craft projects.
  • Create edible crafts that won't end up in the landfills.
Much of the additional waste headed to the landfill during the holiday season comes in the form of gift wrap and packaging. Why not reuse these items in your crafts rather than throwing them away?

These are fabulous ideas. Not only do kids get to use their imaginations, but they are learning about the environment, as well! It's so important to reuse.

I like the CD Valentine idea. If you get a lot of those, you can make a cool CD Valentine curtain type thing.
