Top Five Guest Stars on "Two and a Half Men"

Shannon Wilson
"Two and a Half Men" is currently in its 8th season and during that time, there have been some pretty interesting guest stars. Some of the guests have added flair to an episode and made it even more humorous to watch. These guest stars have worked well with the main cast members such as Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer & Angus T. Jones and reoccurring stars like Conchatta Ferrell and Holland Taylor. This article will detail some of the best guest stars over duration of the series.

#1: Cloris Leachman

Cloris Leachman played the role of Norma on the episode titled Madame and Her Special Friend during season three on episode nine. Norma was an elderly neighbor of Charlie's who was going after Alan for a date. Alan agreed and during one of their dinners she gifted him with a very expensive watch. Alan knew there were strings attached and he would have to bed her. He did but during their "session," Norma died. The episode proved very funny and Charlie ribbed Alan throughout the episode about dating a much older woman. What makes it even funnier is that Charlie at one time had a relationship with Norma and that is how he got his piano that you see him playing in the series. Cloris Leachman did a great job of portraying Norma with humor and grace.

#2: Martin Mull

Martin Mull is one of my favorite guest stars on "Two and a Half Men." He first appeared in season six and has continued on making sporadic appearances in seasons seven and eight. Martin's roll is that of Russell. Russell is Charlie's pharmacist whose ethics leave something to be desired. He does drugs at his own pharmacy and has no problem hooking up patients with certain drugs whether they have a prescription or not. He is full of one liners that will leave you rolling on the floor.

#3: Chris O'Donnell

Way back in season one (episode eighteen), Chris O'Donnell starred as an old flame of Charlie Harper's. No, Charlie didn't swing both ways, he knew Chris O' Donnell's character as "Jill." Later Jill had a sex change operation and became "Bill." Charlie and Jill are supposed to meet at a bar. He starts up a conversation with Bill, only to discover that it's Jill, just with a very new look. Charlie is horrified about the change but they still seem to get along and hang out. Chris O'Donnell played his role to perfection and what made it even funnier is that his character wanted to date Evelyn, Charlie's mother, which led to a very interesting episode.

#4: Martin Sheen

It is a well known fact that Martin Sheen is Charlie Sheen's father and Martin joined the "Two and a Half Men" cast as Harvey, the father of Rose (Charlie's stalker) during season three (episode six). Martin Sheen as Harvey came into the episode on Rose's behalf. Rose made it seem like her and Charlie had slept together again when in fact they hadn't. Evelyn came over for a visit when he was there and being that Harvey also was a rich man, she went after him. It became more then Evelyn could chew however when Harvey ends up being a stalker himself. Evelyn turns to her son's for help who in turn go to Rose. Martin was excellent at seeming like a well together man one minute and a love insane stalker the next.

#5: Jodi Lyn O'Keefe

Jodi Lyn O'Keefe might not be who you'd consider one of the best guests of the series but the character she portrayed went along so well with Charlie and his mother that she deserves a mention. During season three episode six, Charlie got mixed in with a woman named Isabella who was a devil worshiper. She introduced her to her fellow worshipers and a night of bliss (for Charlie) took place. Later he found out that Isabella wanted him to impregnate the members of the cult. Charlie tries to bow out but Isabella very creepily threatens his manhood so Charlie is ready to go along with it, otherwise how could he keep up his womanizing ways? Enter Evelyn who apparently has some kind of history with Isabella. It appears that Isabella is scared of Evelyn and leaves as quickly as possible.

"Two and a Half Men" airs on CBS on Monday nights at 9 PM. Can't get enough of the show? FX and CBS often shows repeats of "Two and a Half Men." Check your local TV listings for show times.
